The risk for cross contamination isn't worth the risk. You can generally safely eat the meats, but the sides are a gamble. I was eating grean beans, which are gluten free, and found a macaroni noodle when I got to the bottom of the bowl. My heart sank because I knew I was in for a world of pain.

If you venture in, just be cautious.

Very impressed for a chain! I let them know I had celiac and they were knowledgeable about the GF items and there was no issue switching to fresh gloves.

I can’t say enough good things about them. I wish that the chain would make their seasonal items gf. The gf sides are very limited

Hav been here multiple times. We usually get a salad with pulled pork on top and have no reactions. Staff is very helpful and aware about which sauces are GF or not.

Second time trying their food and while they say what I ordered was gluten free and made a point of designating our order that way, I am pretty certain I’ve reacted to it. I am very sensitive to cross contamination and suspect that is the problem here.

Amazing food, incredibly nice and knowledgeable staff, a huge number of GF items. Not only feel completely safe here with my Celiac daughter (Note: the “Texas Twang” sauce is not GF), but they even brought us individually wrapped utensils since it was safer than the ones they had out... and I had never thought of that! 10 out of 10 for us!!

Great gluten free menus. Staff is well educated on gluten free.

Lots of gf options and a dedicated fryer for fries. I get brisket every time and it’s delicious. All but one of their six sauces are gf. Oh, and the staff is always so friendly. Highly recommend!

Read their GF menu online before going. I am very very pleased. I ordered the pulled chicken platter (request no cornbread), fries (fresh cut and dedicated fryer), and baked sweet potato (seasonal). My favorite GF bbq sauces are the classic, honey heat, and smoky moutain. Not all sauces are gluten-free so make sure to check online.

We checked this place out for the first time on 11/11/17. My husband explained the celiac thing when placing the takeout order and they understood. He only ordered items he was assure would be safe. When he got home he had two market platters of meat, various sauces, an order of fries (dedicated fryer), baked beans and a green beans. As I began to dish the green beans on my plate I saw something white and looked closer and it was a piece of macaroni. I freaked out because I happened to pop two green beans in my mouth as I dished. I immediately switched plates with my husband the green beans had a lot of liquid in them that got on my nearby food and of course I thought it could be contaminated. I debated on whether to eat the meal or not and in the end did and did not get sick. I was very, very lucky. I am sure it was an innocent mistake but one that could have gotten me extremely ill. Despite the anxiety it was an amazing meal.

Fries are GF. Excellent basic BBQ. 5 of 6 sauces are GF. Ribs, pulled pork & chicken, brisket etc. several GF sides.

The crew had a menu right a on hand for GF options. Fries cooked in a dedicated fryer. Everything was great. I felt very safe eating here.

Excellent meal. I had the brisket and my husband had the spare ribs. We were told the fries were even gf which makes sense since no breaded items on the menu. We will tryvthem next time. Staff was knowledgeable about gf- immediately answered our questions.

Super knowledgeable staff and well-versed in celiac, staff has family member with celiac diagnosis. Has a dedicated GF fryer for fries. Very lovely experience and people here. Tastes great :)

My daughter has celiac and has had no reaction. The employees make sure to communicate that there is a gluten issue when preparing her food. Dedicated fryer for fries!

Mission BBQ was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great and I could even have french fries. I would definitely go back.

This is my second visit to Mission in 6 months. I don't recall what I ordered in December bit it didn't bother me. This trip I ordered the smoked hamburger without a bun (no gf option) with mashed potatoes. This will be a regular visit when I'm in DE.
