Mission BBQ

While we go to this group of restaurants where we are with reliable Gluten Free service, this restaurant has not been a comfortable place to go. Staff yelled at us for not telling them at the beginning of our order it needed to be GF when we did tell them. A mistake was made on their part but we were being blamed for them having to make a new order. Remarks were made that the brown bag had gluten in it and a very generally uncomfortable feeling when we got our order. Our diet is medically necessary and it is not a JOKE. We don’t expect our special diet to be treated in this way.

All allergen questions were answered by the manager (without having to ask for him). Gloves are changed for every order (without having to ask). You can see the food being prepared and it was verbally confirmed twice as gluten free between staff. Meal was a huge portion and tasted amazing. Will definitely come back. Bonus that they support the veteran community.

Super knowledgeable staff and well-versed in celiac, staff has family member with celiac diagnosis. Has a dedicated GF fryer for fries. Very lovely experience and people here. Tastes great :)

My daughter has celiac and has had no reaction. The employees make sure to communicate that there is a gluten issue when preparing her food. Dedicated fryer for fries!

Mission BBQ was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great and I could even have french fries. I would definitely go back.

This is my second visit to Mission in 6 months. I don't recall what I ordered in December bit it didn't bother me. This trip I ordered the smoked hamburger without a bun (no gf option) with mashed potatoes. This will be a regular visit when I'm in DE.
