I was very pleased with my experience here. I appreciate the fact that they actually have a gluten-free menu. I ordered the brisket, jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage, and green beans. It was some of the best bbq I've had in a while. Everything was delicious. The staff was conscientious about safety and cross contamination. I am not sure about any dedicated gf work spaces in the kitchen, but they were good about changing gloves and cleaning work space. Just make sure to tell them you're celiac or hsve an allergy. I will definitely return.
This restaurant recently opened in Springfield. You can request a gluten free menu. I spoke with the manager about the fryer for french fries. He said that the only thing made in the fryer is fries, so they are gluten free. You do need to request the fries WITHOUT the seasoning salt. Most of their BBQ meat, sides, and sauces are gluten free. The food is fantastic, and the service is outstanding. I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could.
I visit this location often, as the food is delicious and they have a dedicated fryer! They have a gluten free menu and most of the staff is knowledgeable about celiac disease and gluten free foods. I haven’t experienced any cross contamination, however I have caught them before leaving with my food. When the worker shows you your food before you leave, don’t be afraid to speak up. I always watch closely and the last time, I had to ask for a new meal because the worker was packaging pound cake and then grabbed my fries. They were very understanding and apologetic about this cross contamination situation. I’m just glad I caught it myself. I always get the pulled pork platter and fries… their green beans are great too! Make sure to ask which sauces are gf before you go!
Would be perfect but depends on who takes your order. Most of them care to protect you but someone I just had last night looked miserable and didn't even say gluten free to the staff and then charged me more than I ordered. Didn't warn be about texas bbq having gluten (although I already knew) just make sure you ask them or else you can be glutened.
