I ate a late lunch here on a Monday in April 2014. Their menu is acutally labeled "Gluten Friendly". Since I have Celiac disease, I don't really want to be friendly to gluten, but ok. We sat in the bar area. It was not very busy. Our waiter was a very curt, harried young man. He noticed me reading the gluten friendly menu (what a ridiculous name) and asked me if I "really" needed gluten free, or just liked it. I said I really really need it due to Celiac. He told me to ignore all of the burgers on the gluten friendly menu, as they add bread as a binder to all of their burgers. I asked why they were listed there then, he just shrugged and rolled his eyes. I then ordered a salad with grilled chicken which he assured me was "really" gluten free. When it came out -- and he ran the food himself -- it had a huge slab of corn bread nestled into it. I asked if that was gluten free and he got completely exasperated. I sent it back and refused to order anything else as they clearly had no interest in even trying to accomodate my requirements. I spoke to the hostess on the way out, who told me their lawyers advised them to name the menu Gluten Friendly. In retrospect, it certainly is. But not in any way Celiac Friendly. Or really even just Human Friendly. Stay far far away if you "really" need gluten free, or if you would like to be treated like a person.
