This was truly a dream come true for me. Bagels were my favorite food pre-diagnosis and none of the GF ones I tried came close until visited New York and went to Modern! I nearly cried, getting a quality fresh bagel with cream cheese again! So delicious. The babka is also amazing!

The only good gluten free bagels I have ever had — and they are like, actually GOOD bagels, not just good for gluten free. If they ever go out of business I will riot and sue until I can have my bagels again.

All gluten free. These are big, chewy, and taste like real bagels! I even enjoyed some untoasted, which is a rare thing for gluten free bread or bagels. I arrived a few minutes before closing, so didn't try anything else, but they have lots of sandwiches, and amazing looking pie, and other food too! I have been gluten free for 25 years and have tried lots of bagels over the years. These are the real deal!!

This place is amazing. The donuts are not like any gluten free I’ve ever tasted, they almost taste like a croissant!! And the Bagel, I even find the words to describe how real the bagels taste. I was blown away. Wish they would expand to Pennsylvania!!

So good! The bagels are amazing, even without being toasted. I was surprised with the variety not only of the flavors of bagels (I tried the cinnamon raisin and everything bagels, both delicious), but also of the other options. The donuts are super delicious and fluffy too.

In the city for 2 days, went here for breakfast both days. The bagels are fresh, with a selection of flavors, and the pumpkin bread was delicious.

If I’d not know it was gluten free, I would not have been able to tell.

The best gluten free bagel I have ever had. On the pricier side but it’s NYC. It is absolutely worth every single penny. Had the bagels not all been gluten free I would have been questioning whether I had been given a gluten bagel.

This place makes me feel like pre-diagnosis days in the BEST WAY! Bagels are chewy & are the only gf bagels I’ve found that I actually genuinely wouldn’t be able to tell a difference. Expensive but sadly no way around that, making gf products is expensive so selling them is too. Run don’t walk!!

I have been craving bagels, cakes, donuts, cookies, and bread for a little while now and when I finally got here I was going crazy. Everything was so good. The black and white cookie is to die for and so was the zebra cake. I have been looking everywhere for a good gluten free bagel and when I had this one it just melted in my mouth!

Not local, so had to do an online order. It arrived promptly, and the items were fresh and well packaged. Beyond worth the wait and the delivery charges. The jalapeño-cheddar bagels have an exceptional texture and robust flavor, delicious! The orange-pumpkin rugelach were also fantastic — flaky dough, moist, flavorful. Without a doubt, the best gluten-free baked goods I have bought anywhere. Highly recommend.

Stopped in during my last two visits to NY and wow, I would make a trip back just to eat here! Great for any time of day, esp breakfast but also modern at night for dinner. Amazing bagels and sweet treats. My non-celiac family members say the bagels are the best they have ever had. What an amazing gift this place is!

This must be some kind of witchcraft… how do they make GF bagels that taste like regular bagels??! Had a grilled cheese on everything bagel which was fantastic. Best bagel ever! Tried a chocolate covered donut also but wasn’t impressed with that - it ended up in the trash, sadly. Really, don’t miss this place.

I usually go to the uptown bakery on Columbus Ave and the bagels are wonderful. Went to Chelsea store on 14th St and picked up superseed bagels and a slice of carrot cake and was highly disappointed. It was 11:30 am on Sunday and the bagels were ready stale. They tasted slightly sour and had mostly poppy seeds unlike the bagels uptown which are mostly pumpkin seed and sesame seed. The carrot cake was overly sweet and had a very soft crumbly texture. Will not return to this store.

It’s great to go to a dedicated gf place. However, on the last visit, they were having staffing issues. They had run out of some food options by mid-afternoon and the bagel I ate was stale-ish. Whilst we were still eating, we were told they were closing an hour early. I will only travel here in the morning in future.

I don’t know how they do it, but they make flakey pastries and chewy bagels that are absolutely delicious. A friend of mine who was born and raised on the UES and isn’t gluten free said that these tasted better than her favorite bagels on the UES. The best part is that I don’t have to worry about cross contamination! 1000% recommend.

I grew up in NY, so I know a good bagel when I taste it. These are absolutely the best gluten free bagels I have ever had. All the products in this bakery are gluten free. Their focaccia bread is amazing! Their donuts are incredible! They make breakfast and lunch there too: pancakes, quiche, sandwiches, to name just a few items. They have another location at 472 Columbus Avenue in Manhattan. If you’re in Manhattan, you must go!

I finally arrived at a time when the line wasn’t going out the door. The cinnamon raisin bagel is quite good, though crazy expensive (approx. $3.50).

Service was slow, even though I didn’t ask for anything other than to grab the bagel off the wall and put it in a paper bag.

As one of the only fully gf dedicated places, it’s great. But if there were any other safe places to shop, I’d probably go elsewhere.

This place is amazing! 100% gluten free! 4 flavors of New York bagels, challah bread (Friday only), other breads, doughnuts, cupcakes, cookies, etc. I could not believe it was all gluten free and asked several times as I swear my eyes were deceiving me! Can have long lines but so worth the wait. This is my new must go to place when in New York!

If you’re coeliac (or just love good food) you need to come here! I’d read all the reviews in preparation for my trip as I still wanted to try and find the perfect bagel like I used to be able to and here it is! You honestly wouldn’t tell the difference! A visit here is a must!

Got the avo and smoke on an everything bagel and it was fantastic! It was a bit messy because they don’t skinch on the avocado, so this is a good thing. The pickled onions were a nice addition. Would definitely return!

This was the most amazing experience for us! We enjoyed bagel sandwiches but also brought back bagels for all our gf family and sweet treats. We visited two times over one weekend and have already talked about when we can go back to NYC. Also, downtown location wasn’t as packed and had better seating available.
