This place was delicious!! The blintzes, chocolate babka and bagels were incredible! Highly recommend for anyone, especially those with Celiac like me. So nice to have a delicious bagel without worrying.

Absolutely fabulous! Probably the best gluten free bakery I have ever been to (and I've been to A LOT). Everything looked so good, that I ended up getting a slice of their cinnamon roll cake, a chocolate chip cookie, an everything bagel, and a glazed donut. I would have loved all of these things even before I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease! I will be coming back here a lot.

This place is amazing!! It is 100% gluten free and the bagels/donuts are so delicious that even my gluten eating friends love them! The hard part is just deciding what if all the amazing things to get!

I cannot remember the last time I had a good New York City bagel, gluten-free or otherwise! So excited that my favorite East Coast gluten-free bakery move to the west coast to save a celiac like me!

I now have a whole TWO places I can go with complete peace of mind! (so sad only two…) Enjoyed my visit here! It’s not in the mall proper but the village. The bagels are really where they shine. Best GF bagels by far. The other pastries I tried were pretty good, though definitely not top notch like some other places, I’m thinking Posh Pop in NY or Rising Hearts formerly in LA. Great bagel sandwiches for breakfast though. Though I dont recommend the vegan sausage - I took that off my sandwich. Too mushroomy. I will say the bagels from their NY location are slightly better. Maybe it’s true what they say about there being something in the tap water. Nonetheless glad to have a location in LA and hope it is a permanent fixture!

Everything I’ve ever had here is incredible! It’s a wonderland for celiacs and anyone who can’t have gluten. They even have gluten free donuts that *aren’t* cake donuts like most gf ones available. 11/10, would recommend.

Can’t stop raving about how good my bagel was! The staff here and on the UWS in NY seem to be a little scattered — both messed up my order — but they were nice and the food was great. Donut was fine, but bagel was worth the drive.

This place is incredible! It’s pricey but I have never had gluten free bagels this good. If you are on the fence about trying them, or making the drive, or bringing friends family with you… just go!!! It’s amazon!!

Dreams do come true. AFFORDABLE AND SO GOOD. Breadblock is not nearly as good and it’s double the price. Tots are amazing, loved the bread and bagels. Donut was my favorite. Can’t wait to try more.

Love the bagels and pastries. Cinnamon roll bread and linzer cookies are out of this world. Some days they’ve sold burnt bagels which is disappointing especially when bringing friends for the first time. They also need to set up a water station… this is LA! I hope they are just ironing out some kinks because they are new. They seem to take celiac safety very seriously and I appreciate that! Fair prices, excellent quality and selection! Will be back!

Update: Being a celiac, I tried this place again, since it would be great to have a go-to place. Both bagels were so burned we couldn't even bite into them. Maybe it's their uniques thing. But it's not for me.

I wanted so much to love this place. Got paper in my egg and cheese bagel and the bagel was burned. The first impression wasn't great. They remade it and it was pretty good. I''ll likely revisit.

Our kids have Celiac and they make a proper New York bagel that tastes exactly like the real thing. They also have amazing bread, donuts and pastries like chocolate Babka. You can take non-Celiac people with you and they won’t know the difference. They don’t even have any signage that says they are gluten free but the entire place is. We have eaten here at least 10 times and no problems at all. I have no idea how they do it but I am so glad they open a Los Angeles location.

For a dedicated gluten free facility their food is incredible. I’m celiac and my boyfriend is not and he usually hates gluten free food but he raves about their pumpkin pie French toast sticks!! The bagels are also amazing, not heavy and hard to chew like most GF bagels.

Really good selection of breads, bagels, donuts, pastries, etc. The donuts here are the closest you’ll get to those good old fashioned yeast donuts that are soft and melt in your mouth. These aren’t your classic gf donuts which are basically just cake in the shape of a donut. Super good! 10/10

This is my new favorite place. I’ve been here like 3x a week since they soft opened and I am officially obsessed. It’s all amazing food, all gluten free, no worries about any kind of contamination, and best of all it’s not even expensive, at least compared to other GF bakeries. The latke tots are magic, highly recommend. If you’re a celiac valley resident, get thee to Modern Bread and Bagel ASAP! (And enjoy a tea from Boba Guys which is right outside :))

Everything is amazing. Bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries all taste great even to my non GF family. Entire place is GF so no concerns with cross contamination. You will not regret going.

Amazing!!! Dedicated GF! Sooo yummy!!!! The bagels are so soft and delicious! The staff was helpful and looked up other dietary restrictions for us instantly! HIGHLY recommend! (Celiac- super sensitive avoids: dairy, oat, onion, garlic)
