For a quick bite to eat this place is pretty good. My boyfriend who is not celiac and me who is celiac shared “the whole hog” it lets you sample the ribs, half chicken, turkey, brisket, and pulled pork. and order 4 sides for $46.00. Great price for the amount of food you get and we had left overs for days. For the sides we got Mac and cheese (this was for my boyfriend and is not gluten free) the cole slaw, fries, and potato salad. I ate everything besides the mac and cheese and did not get sick! Service is pretty good we came in after a long day 30 minutes before close and had the sweetest waitress who took great care of us. They do have a separate menu to show what is gluten free which is all of their meats, sauces, and some of their sides. They have a dedicated fryer as well.
Ate here several times and it was good. Last visit was the last visit. Ordered GF wings to start and stressed the GF. In the past we had been told that the GF wings were not flash fried, just smoked, because of cross contamination. Waiter insisted there was a dedicated GF fryer. A good runner delivered the wings to our table and we verified, “GF.” We started to eat and were two wings in when the waiter came out and said, “let me take these and make you some new ones, just to be sure...” With me wife having Celiac this was the opposite of cool. We left and won’t be back.
We have been coming to this Mojo's since it opened, and we have never been disappointed!! Southern BAR-BQ at it's best. Not ony are the meats perfectly seasoned, tender, and moist, the sides are also seasoned and cooked just right. We love the Whole Hog, worth every penny!!๐๐
Amazing food! Service was excellent, they were able to help me with several other allergies as well.
Mojo is so gluten-free friendly that instead of a gluten free menu, they have special, single page they bring to the table listing the items that are NOT safe for someone on a gluten free diet. I didn't ask about the fryer, so double check if you are more sensitive.
My husband and I have been eating at Mojo's for several years - long before we were gluten free. My husband is from North Carolina and is serious about his barbeque. He says Mojo's is the best he has had outside of NC. I'm not a huge BBQ fan, but I love their shrimp and grits.
