Complete and utter disaster. The chef screamed at our poor waitress when asked if a dish was g free, totally unprofessional. The bartender couldn't manage to make an amaretto sour--a two ingredient drink, half the table didn't receive salads. The food was bland and overpriced, and the icing on the cake; the butter is glutinous! Why is it on the menu if it contains gluten additives?? Will never eat here again, today I am more sick than I have been in a long time!
My family picked this location for my birthday lunch. It was so good. They have a gluten free menu of salads, steaks and fish. I had a ribeye steak and baked potatoe, both delicious. They offered up a free birthday dessert but didn't have any gluten free deserts. I felt pretty special when they brought out some strawberries shaped like roses with chocolate syrup. Such a thoughtful thing to do for this gluten free gal. The server (Tasha?) was very kind and helpful and knew about no croutons on salad and cross contamination. I left impressed and satisfied.
When I ordered I made it clear that I have a severe gluten allergy and that I had to avoid cross contamination. I asked what they had that they could make gluten free, she was somewhat dismissive saying that they could make pretty much anything gluten free. I’m pretty sure she rolled her eyes when I asked if the dressing was for sure gluten free. I apologized for the Troy me and thanked her for being patient. After my dinner I have felt sick as I usually do when I get contaminated food. It was pretty disappointing given the high rating from find me gluten free.
Not safe. I called ahead and spoke to a manager. I was told they use flour in the kitchen to hand batter food. I was told nothing was safe due to flour in the air and over multiple surfaces in the kitchen. Grateful for the honesty.
My son and I both have celiac and shared the ribs the waiter didn't seem to know what he was talking about so after going back and forth to the kitchen he assured us that it was safe for us to eat. It wasn't not only did we both get a reaction the ribs were disappointing and gross. For a place called rib and chop house you should have some dang good ribs.
Came here our first night in Cheyenne because it was recommended by locals. The waitress Shari was very knowledgable on gluten free options. She even got us a gluten free menu. Delicious seafood and steaks!
the kitchen staff were knowledgeable about what could be modified to be gf. I had the cedar plank salmon. Although it had to be learned with salt and pepper only, it was delicious. the quality of the ingredients is very good so even with just this minimal seasoning, everything was perfect. Also they were completely slammed and I still had no issues and did not get sick!
Delicious! My kids figure this must be the best restaurant in the world. The GF menu included about 4 salads, 2 fish dishes, pork chops & several steaks, baked potato & garlic mushrooms. Creme Brulee was not listed on the GF menu, but they said it was GF and I enjoyed it. We went on a Satuday evening & should have had a reservation.
this restaurant has changed ownership and name now Cannons Chophouse. they do not have a printed existing gf menu. the grand opening is August 2, 2017. however, I spoke with my server, Josh. having a gf mother in law he was aware of conditions. I had delicious rib eye, unseasoned, garlic mashed real potatoes, and salad. it was a delicious meal. the cost is pricy. there are items on the menu that can be adapted to gf, grilled...
Very disappointing!! GF menu which I ordered from ended up with salad with croutons! Ordered Salmon which had been over cooked on the grill with everybody elses steaks etc. extremely dry and unpleasant to eat. GF knowledge non existant even though there is a GF MENU. No recommendation here for Celiacs!!
The gluten free menu was extremely small. When I got my house salad (ordered off the gluten free menu) it came with croutons. Not only on the top, but underneath the salad as well. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about gluten intolerance, but he wasn't the one to bring me my salad unfortunately. I wasn't able to enjoy that part of my meal, so I got half of it but paid for everything.
We've eaten there 3 times and the first time was fine but the next two times were not good. They put croutons on our salads even though we were very clear we needed gluten free. Afterwards we all felt like we had been glutened so not sure how safe the kitchen is.
They have a separate GF menu, which has limited options but all the basics you'd want at a rib/steakhouse. I ended up ordering one of the specials (steak Oscar) and it was delicious. Too much for me to finish. Had a baked potato as my side because the fries are in a shared fryer. Waiter seemed pretty knowledgable and double-checked the sauce on my special before I ordered.
My boyfriend is a celiac and we went here for dinner. Their menu is very small and there is only two sides and one was baked potato with butter and sour cream and the server told us the butter had gluten in it (why is it on the gluten free menu) we ended up leaving without eating not worth the risk of him getting sick !! On a good note the server was friendly !
