Old school family restaurant with excellent fresh food. The menu doesn’t have a ton of gluten free meals, but because they make so much in house, they are able to customize and happy to do so if you ask. I have additional dietary restrictions and have never had a problem getting a great meal here!
Do be aware if you have celiac/high gluten sensitivity that the default way the veggies are prepared is sauteed with some soy sauce. They can sub for steamed veggies no problem though.
This place is pretty popular and it’s not a large restaurant so it gets a little crowded. We made a dinner reservation and I’m glad we did because there was already a line of people when we got there. The focus of the restaurant is seafood and pasta. They do not have a gluten free menu but as long as the food is grilled, they can adjust a lot of their dishes to be gluten free. They serve steamed vegetables which is gluten-free and they will substitute pasta with steamed rice.
They had a long list of specials that all sounded good. I ordered the fresh caught salmon from Monterey Bay. The salmon was grilled and served with steamed vegetables and rice. It was amazing!
The wait staff was very professional and knowledgeable about Celiac Disease. I felt safe eating here and did not get sick. I am only here visiting for a few days and am hoping to stop by for dinner again before we leave.
