To call this a “Food Hall” is disingenuous. It’s a Door Dash Kitchen. Honestly, had I known I probably wouldn’t have eaten here.
That being said! Despite my concerns about the shared kitchen in back, and the staffs lack of willingness to answer my questions about cross contamination I ate my bulgogi bowl and had no issues!!
It did occur to me it took a very long time for my food to come out, and that could be because they were doing a cleaning/cross contamination protocol.
When all was said and done, the food was absolutely delicious and I had no gluten reaction! I wish I was in the city longer to get it again.
So happy to have this as a take out option! I opted for a custom bowl and it was really yummy. My (non gf) partner got a bowl as well and really enjoyed it. The bowls are big - you get a ton of food. We also ordered the Korean bbq cauliflower wings and it was so good. The vegan ranch it comes with was delish. Will def be adding this spot into the rotation!
This is a 100% gluten free Korean fast-casual restaurant that opened up in the new DoorDash Kitchens in DWTN Brooklyn. Favorite dishes include the crispy cauliflower and sweet potato dumplings. Also, they have Sweet Loren’s eatable cookie/brownie dough as dessert options!
This was our first time trying moon bowls and we both got the fried chicken bowl. Our delivery (the company uses ubereats) kept getting delayed so it ended up being 30mins later than expected so the food was cold. Not sure if this was an issue with ubereats or the company but given that they identify as a ‘delivery first’ company this should be better. Despite this, the food itself was delicious (my ‘can eat everything’ partner agreed) and it felt like such a treat to get food delivered! Most importantly I didn’t get sick. I also have a dairy allergy so fried chicken is often a no go, even without gluten due to the buttermilk however everything but their Nutella chia seed pudding is also dairy free 🙌. I also noticed that while they don’t list whether it’s vegan or not on the bowls, if you go to the section where they list the individual components where you can add extra of a certain item they do tell you there. FYI: On their website they say that their food is 100% gluten free and while some of their kitchens are dedicated gluten free some are not due to being in facilities where gluten is used. Definitely going to try again and hope that they can get their delivery issues sorted!
