There are little to no gluten free options at Moosehead anymore. Our waitress wasn’t very helpful and said they don’t really have anything gluten free on the menu except for salads. I got the salmon salad and it was fine—nothing special. I wasn’t super confident that the kitchen would be free of cross-contamination, but I didn’t get sick. I’d be very cautious though!
Waitress said “you would know better than me” in regards to what’s gluten free at their establishment. She got someone else that was more knowledgeable and said basically the salad is gluten free most likely without seasoning. This place doesn’t have a clue what gluten free is.
Not sure if there used to be good options here, but when I went the only choice was a burger without the bun. The waitress was very nice about it, but also didn't seem aware of cross contamination with the fries and then suggested their homemade chips instead, not realizing that fried potato chips would have the same problem...
That said, my burger was fine and I felt okay afterwards.

Manager is gluten free, and is very tuned in to the issues. Also, they recently launched a gluten free menu.

No gluten free items any longer. But the food was still good. I got a burger without the bun and fries.
Great feel. Very charming and large dining capacity. Indoor and outdoor options. The deck overlooking the river was beautiful. Our server was slow and not very cordial or attentive. Although, the other server for the tables nearby was delightful to her customers and very accommodating. It was mid-day and not many people there at the time. Either our server was having a rough day or she just isn't a good server. Still, I would recommend this place. The only caveat would be that don't go if you need to be somewhere else after.
When I called the restaurant, I was told 4 items were gluten-free - 2 seafood & 2 burgers. When I dined there, I was told many of the items could be made gf. I ended up ordering one of the burgers originally mentioned which was very good.
small gf menu but good variety + plus great value for $.
Great ambiance. Really cute decor. Service was good but a little slow so make sure you have time to enjoy your visit. The homemade clam chowder was the best I've ever had. Not many gluten free options that weren't steaks. The salads are huge and of course GF without croutons. Turkey burger was good. No bun. We also enjoyed the chicken nachos.
