They did have Udis GF buns- only good thing. The burger was very greasy (grease running down hands/arm) and fries were not gluten free- NO dedicated fryer. It was also very expensive for what we got.
Extemely knowledgable about what is gf safe and cross-contamination. asked if j wanted them to change gloves! Regular fries have their own fryer, but sweet potato fries are normally fries with onion strings. Upon request, they will put the sweet potato fries in gf frier for you! Excellent food and service. Will be back!
Pretty much the only gluten free fast food burger in Athens. Feel pretty comfortable about eating here. The menu options are clearly marked, they have a dedicated fryer for their fries and the staff seem conscientious. I’ve eaten here three times with no problems, but I wish they still had gluten free buns. As it stands you’re stuck with a lettuce wrap which is pretty messy.
The gluten free bun is delicious, but the staff doesn’t seem to know what gluten is. They told me the milkshake wasn’t gluten free because it contained milk. Also, the dedicated fryer isn’t dedicated at all because the staff uses it to fry chicken when they’re busy, then use it for “gluten-free” fries when they aren’t busy. The manager had no interest in learning how dangerous that is for Celiacs. Avoid the fries, but the burgers are really good.
The food was okay. Prepared safely. But not without complaint. The young lady making the food could be heard very clearly complaining about how much work it was to have to prepare something gluten-free because she had to change her gloves and get fresh utensils.... and we were one of three couples in the whole place. The placed our shareable fry on my husbands gluten tray rather than on mine meaning there was a chance of cross contamination. The food does not look like their photos. Burgers are much smaller. We also had to deal with flys and gnats while we ate and it’s basically winter outside so they must have an issue somewhere inside the restaurant. Won’t be returning.
Friendly staff, and food is good, but they gave me a regular bun by mistake. Had to get the burger re-done with a lettuce wrap, since they were out of gluten green buns. Fortunately, I’m non-celiac, but I would recommend caution to those who are.
Crusty Udi buns. Staff are not friendly. Dedicated friar and fries were decent. Didn’t get any burger of three ordered right. Safe but not good. :-/
They do not have a gluten free menu. They have gluten free buns but there is a chance of cross contamination. Also , fries are cooked in same fryer as breaded items. I wouldn’t chance it here unless I was eating gluten free for reasons other than Celiac Disease or a gluten allergy. Staff was helpful and friendly and advised of possible cross contamination issues.

They offer a gluten free bun and toast it on foil to prevent cross contamination on the grill. They changed gloves frequently, I was standing there watching the whole time to satisfy my worrying. I ordered a double burger on gf bun with bacon and cajun fries. Food was delicious and I didn't get sick like I did from Five Guys in Elmwood! The only caution is be careful if you need to avoid dairy bc the cheese is melted on the burgers directly on the grill and there is melted cheese all over where the burgers are cooked.
They had a very good burger with a gluten free bun, and the shakes were absolutely delicious. They cleaned the mixer before they made my shake as well since they have some non gluten free toppings. Would have been 5 stars if they had a dedicated frier for the fries.
They offer gluten free buns but did not take any caution to make sure there was no cross contamination. They said their fries are gluten free but they are cooked in a shared fryer. Same with their shakes, the vanilla is safe but anything mixed in they use shared equipment. Food was mediocre.
Burgers are nothing to write home about. Do have gluten free buns. Online menu says the fries are gluten free but could be cross containment with flour. Employee said the fries are cooked in same oil with onion rings!! Not the greatest for gluten free but okay
Great food. One star off for not having a dedicated fryer, so no fries for me, and one star off for charging a dollar extra for GF bun. At least the staff understood the term “dedicated fryer” when I asked though, so shout out for that. Super friendly staff.
Sadly changing my review from 5 to 1 stars. New Management in the last year. No longer has a dedicated fryer for french fries. Unfortunately, their employees don't know this. Glutened my daughter terribly. No longer has gluten free buns at this location but hasn't taken it off the menu. Extremely disappointing.
Burgers were awesome! Choice of Gluten-Free or lettuce wrap. Read the GF menu online for specifics on how to order shakes. No separate fryer, but manager, Daniel, indicated they may look into in future. Update 9/7!! They have designated fryers now, so fries are GF, too! Regular or sweet potato.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my son that has Celiac Disease. They changed gloves before handling his gluten free bun & cooked it on a piece of foil so that it would not touch the cooking surface where regular buns are cooked. Unfortunately there is not a separate fryer for the French fries, but I was appreciative that the manager took initiative to tell me this.
My husband and I happened upon Mooyah when searching for a lunch place today. Although NOT a glue-free establishment, I was pleased to find they had a gluten-free menu. I had an all natural turkey iceburger (wrapped in lettuce) with slices of avocado, but they also have gluten-free buns. The burger was tasty!
