Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Food was delicious.
Note to ask about the protein and tofu options because some of them are not gluten free (I believe the sesame proteins and some of the tofu is fried) - our server was able to explain that when I asked about gluten free options.
I love this place! I’ve eaten here several times, and it’s now on my list of current favorites. All of the broths are gf, and you can order hot pots off the menu or your own custom version. You can also order a large pot to share, or a split pot if you and your group need/want different items. There are also many rice dishes, noodle dishes, and a few appetizers that are gluten free! They don’t have a dedicated fryer, though, so beware with any fried items. Also: their cocktails and mocktails are delicious! I haven’t tried them all, but the lychee soda is so good, I keep getting it instead of trying the rest.
Morfire is a small footprint Thai style Hot Pot restaurant in the heart of Cap Hill off of a quite neighborhood street. They offer a gluten free broth for their hot pot, and all but 2-3 ingredients on the menu are gluten free! The food is DELISH and the server was friendly, knowledgable and accommodating of my food needs. I was able to enjoy the full hot pot experience with no fear of cross-contam or stress about how much I would be able to eat. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who has been nervous to try hot pot! Cannot recommend it enough. A hidden gem.
Fun experience with family. Two adult children with celiac, me and my husband all enjoyed a delicious gluten free meal. Server was knowledgeable and even brought over a gf tapioca pudding for my daughter's dessert. Tom kha hot pot was flavorful and best of all, no one was glutened! Will definitely return.
A good amount of gluten free items and a knowledgeable staff. They do have some things listed as GF that go into a shared fryer though, so be sure to ask. Also, the marinated meats for the hot pot are not safe. All the broth is GF and they have many options for hot pot and also delicious GF rice dishes. I’ll definitely go back.
