We stayed at the Middlebury Inn and had dinner in Morgan's Tavern. The menu is clearly marked which items are gluten free but our waitress was very knowledgeable and we were able to substitute items to make a non-gluten free meal, gluten free. I had the shrimp and grits and it was REALLY good! We also had the breakfast buffet, but were unimpressed with that. I asked if the potatoes were gluten free and the busboy went into the kitchen and I could hear them yelling at each other that potatoes always have gluten. Um. Then he asked if the herbs ON the potatoes were gluten free and was told no. OK then, I think I'll just not eat the potatoes. I wouldn't recommend the buffet for breakfast.
