We used to eat here weekly, but since they have changed management now they don’t have a dedicated fryer for french fries:((. Such a disappointment!! We loved before! Bring back old management
can't believe this place is rated as celiac friendly. For starters, the hostess and the first nearby waitress had no idea if there was a GF menu. Another waitress stepped in to explain the markings on the regular menu. The fries are clearly marked as GF. I was skittish and asked anyway. The waiter told me he has no idea what gluten is, but everything is fried in the same oil. Hostess confirmed this is true. They have many gluten containing fried goods. Neither the waiter nor the hostess saw the mislabeling as a problem. If the most basic things are wrong on the menu, then everything is doubtful at best.
A variety of gluten free options. Ordered a hamburger and it was on buttery grilled gluten free bread. Good
EDITED 4/21/16: I told the server before and after ordering that I was gluten free. Meal was served with a piece of bread on top of my meal. What a great restaurant! Waiter and manager were very friendly and helpful with their gluten free options. Waiter notified the cook about my gluten free order. Manager said fryer is GF, but food prep next to fryer could be a problem for very sensitive individuals. Great home cooked food! Ate here without a reaction!
great bread& sandwiches& salads.only negative was cheese sauce on fries Not too cheesy. next time will have plain fries.
Great menu choices! Big bonus they have gf bread!!
I can't say enough good things about Mo's. I've eaten there many times and have never gotten sick. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer so the fries are GF. They have gluten free bread so you have a lot of great burger and sandwich options. The GF spinach artichoke dip and GF chips are a favorite! They even have New Grist GF beer. Every staff member I have ever encountered has been knowledgeable about cross contamination. One of the best GF menu's in town, they have a lot of options.
The Best Burgers ever
Great food and huge gf menu! I have celiacs disease and I have not been sick once from eating here! They have dedicated fryers for fries- so nice to be able to get a burger and fries out besides at five guys! Excellent place for lunch or dinner!!
Was pleasantly surprised to see such an extensive GF menu here - including some traditional pub food (eg corned beef!) I don't see very often. Fryers are dedicated, and seems like they understand cross-contam issues well. However, the GF bread they serve seems to be just plain ol' (and tiny) Udi's sandwich bread. Made for a very teeny Reuben sandwich and hubby's hamburger dwarfed the little pieces of bread. (He ultimately had to eat it with a fork.) The fries were awesome, but I've had better salads at Wendy's. They also had roasted tomato soup I hope to try maybe next time. It would be a great place if they would upgrade their GF bread!
GF menu with good practices to avoid cross contamination ans a knowledgeable staff. Great burgers and GF bread too!!!
Many lists gluten free items that really aren’t (like the fries). Waitress not knowledgeable. Reminded her twice to check with the kitchen to see if what I’d ordered was GF. Notified of an allergy. My meal came out with a slab of bread on top, and she said she would remove it. That’s not going to work... They ended up remaking my steak, and it was over cooked and unflavorful.
The GLUTEN FREE LASAGNA is amazing! GF Layered Ground Beef, Eggplant Noodles, Zucchini Noodles, Onion, Garlic, Tomatoes, Carrots, Sweet Potato topped with Mozzarella and fresh Basil.
They have several great Gluten Free dishes, and several others can be mad GF. Their menu lists the items that are already GF, but one item, their garlic cheese fries which is listed as GF, unfortunately shares a frier with other gluten items. Which makes it cross contaminated. All in all it was great food and a good atmosphere.
I've eaten here many times without any issue. I stick with regular fires and get either a burger or the chicken sandwich sans cheese. Good atmosphere, generally helpful staff. One time we went with our kids and it looked like they put anyone with kids in a room separate from the large dining space. I thought it was pretty funny.
Not everything on the menu that says it is gluten free, actually is. They say their fries and chips are gluten free but after talking to the manager, I find out they are fried in the same fryer that fries things with wheat. I have even had gluten problems from eating their burgers with a supposed gluten free bun. So be very careful and ask a lot of questions. The food tastes good but only the manager is knowledgable.
I believe the garlic fries I had were contaminated. Won't be going back because I got sick. The food there is really good so it is a shame. They do have a dedicated menu but I wouldn't trust it especially if you get sick from cross contamination issues.
