Just ok. nothing special.
The crust on this pizza is pretty good! No weird aftertaste or crazy texture like a lot of gf pizzas. I'm sure there's a risk of cross-contamination but I've felt fine the few times I've eaten here.
Mizael and his staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating! Our daughter has Celiac and we appreciate a restaurant that truly gets the gluten cross contamination issues. We were traveling here from the Midwest and were extremely pleased with the great tasting food and their attention to food preparation. I tried the gluten free pizza crust and loved it!!!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone who has gluten concerns. Be sure, as always, to let your server know about your allergies. They truly get it.
We called ahead and the staff assured us they do their best to avoid cross contamination. When we got there we talked to Mizael and he said staff is trained 8 hours on how to handle gluten free food! Pizza was great! Definitely recommend if you are celiac!
I was really impressed on how well informed they are about cross-contamination and also that they give you a little story behind what made them go gluten free also their daughter is also Celiac, so I really trust their food and I keep coming back! LOVE this place
The staff was very knowledgeable about both being celiac friendly and dairy free. They have a separate preparation area and even a different area in their refrigerator for their gf items. They bring out a cutting board and fresh knife to cut allergy pizzas. I was super impressed, and it was really good pizza. My daughter devoured 2/3 of a personal sized pizza.
I love mountain Mike's elsewhere, but this one is lacking. our crust was soggy, and the guy who brought it to the table was covered head to toe in flour. not just a little, but days and days worth of flour. I'm not too sensitive, but my wife had a reaction. we should have trusted our gut, and left. instead we trusted the training touted at other mountains, and I doubt that was instilled here.
Best gluten free pizza in the Folsom and El Dorado Hills area, hands down! I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease as an adult, and pizza was one of the things I missed the most. When gluten free pizzas became a thing, I tried pizza everywhere that had it. Between not tasting very good, the crust being too hard, or getting cross-contaminated, everyone failed... EXCEPT Mountain Mikes in El Dorado Hills. They cannot guarantee no cross-contamination, as their facility does prepare other products with flour, but they definitely do their best, and I love them for it. I've gotten pizza 4 or 5 times in the last couple months from them, and it has been delicious AND safe everytime. Awesome job and thank you so much, Mountain Mikes El Dorado Hills Staff!!!
The GF pizza taste good and I haven't had any problems with cross contamination there as far as the pizza goes. The salad bar is off limits though because they have pasta salad and other non-GF foods that spill into other areas and cross contaminate.
Very friendly staff who explained that owner's daughter has celiac and they are very aware of cross contamination issues. They took it very seriously and I felt safe. I ordered gluten free pizza. Only comes in 10 inch size so be prepared for leftovers. Not a wow crust but good enough to enjoy eating out with my husband.
I was going to give them a 4 ☆ rating because I ordered my pizza without tomatoes. I had 2 half slices to try a variety and the cashier repeated to my husband and I, "no diced tomatoes." One half came without tomatoes. The waitress who brought pizza over said they would remake it. When she returned, it was with both halves! Hence the 5 ☆ rating! Can't ask for better customer service than that! Staff is very friendly, a little pricey, but food is delicious! salad bar is very fresh; crispy lettuce, fresh toppings and clean. We'll be back to try a hot sandwich! Thank you for the wide variety of GF meals...BRAVO!
One word. Ahhmazing! Seriously though, this pizza was so good we forgot it was gluten free. My husband and I ordered the GF Ricotta Margarita Pizza with Pesto Sauce and the GF Traditional Red Sauce Pizza with Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Bell Pepper and Black Olives. Both were so delicious. The staff was friendly and the place was busy for a Thursday night which in my book is a good sign. We will definitely be back!
Very good gluten free pizza. Not cooked in a dedicated gluten-free oven, but the guy assured me that it doesn't come into contact with gluten due to the precautions that they take. (I'm sorry- I can't recall exactly what he said they did.) I don't have Celiac's but I do have Hashimoto's and a gluten sensitivity. So far, so good! Pizza thy actually tastes like pizza!
As a person with Celiac Disease, I was able to enjoy a sandwich for the first time at a restaurant! The pizza was awesome too! Go figure, I had to come to the West Coast to get truly good gluten free dining! (East Coast girl.) The staff were very friendly as I threw 20 questions at them to make sure I would not get sick! Can't say enough! I will be back! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!
