Full gluten “friendly” menu available! I had the 4 curry pot luck, however you pay £20 but you can get vegetable curries mixed in, so bit annoying considering there’s a vegetarian option for curry pot luck. Next time I’d just choose my own for cheaper even though the portions are the same. That’s if there is a next time as the service was hella slow….
Mowgli Street Food has a separate gluten-free menu, and most of the dishes from the standard menu are available. The staff were knowledgeable about cross-contamination protocols and explained their processes in detail—even how they scoop the sorbet. That kind of attention to detail made me feel confident eating here. The manager brought my food out personally and confirmed it was gluten-free, which is a great touch. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. I will be returning.
The restaurant offers a commendable gluten-free menu in a relaxed atmosphere, which is a great start. I appreciated being shown the allergens page at the back of the menu, as it provided useful information.
However, when my food arrived, I was uncertain if it was truly gluten-free. I found that the waitress was not very confident in her response to my questions. It’s important to note that while the allergens page indicates which items are gluten-free, it’s essential to specifically communicate your dietary needs to your server. From what I gathered, it seems that adjustments might be made to the ingredients in the dishes, so clear communication is key. Overall, I'm hopeful the restaurant can enhance their process for ensuring gluten-free options to provide extra peace of mind for diners.
