We had an AWFUL experience here today. My husband and two children both have Celiac and decided to come here for lunch based on the good reviews. When ordering a gf panini, the waitress responded to my husband that using gf bread would make the panini “disgusting.” She was so rude about our order and requests for gf items that we ended up leaving.

This review has been addressed. We apologize for this. I wish you would have requested to speak to the owner, he is always available. This would have been handled without leaving an awful review. It is very disappointing to think that people will have terrible things to say but not say it while they are at the restaurant

10/10 would recommend!! Cute little diner vibe. The hotdog was amazing and the bun actually didn’t fall apart. The fries were so good too, made in a separate fryer.

Great place! I had a Nathan’s hotdog with gluten free bun and fresh cut fries from a separate fryer! What a treat!

Delicious food, very friendly owner who has love for the GF community. Two types of GF ice cream cones and pretty much every meal option could be done GF. Highly recommend, after multiple visits. .

We had a good breakfast. They moved locations, thankfully my boyfriend saw the sign. They were not terribly busy, but seemed to be short staffed. One girl waiting tables, running the register. The eggs and bacon were tasty and the GF toast was good. Overall average breakfast. Best part, I didn’t feel yucky when we left! Suggestion to the owner, please make sure your front staff has support!

Loved the turkey, Brie, cranberry panini and turkey, cheddar and Granny Smith apple panini. They have a separate fryer for fries and a separate panini press for gluten free. Staff very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Turkey panini made with GF bread was excellent plus GF fries. Happy to find a sandwich place that understands GF. Would highly recommend.

Several GF options that are prepared in a separate area. Even GF ice cream AND GF cones! The GF bread was VERY good! They use boars head meat for sandwiches. Had the Italian panini, no issues.

We got a gf BLT and my fiancé loved it. The bread was really good and not crumbly. Lots of bacon and a good amount of Mayo!

Agree with all positive reviews. Had a patty melt that was very good (Udi’s bread) with perfectly grilled onions and fries. A nice little place that is worth the visit.

The menu lists gluten free bread option, but there is a sign at the register saying to ask about their gluten free options. When I asked, they said they could make the majority of the menu gluten free. I had a turkey and Brie panini and it was delicious. The people working are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great sandwich shop. I had the patty melt and fries. The meats were all gluten free and gluten free bread is an option. I was told that the fryer was dedicated so I had fries which were delicious.

After reading the good reviews here I decided to call to confirm the information was current. They were so knowledgeable about Celiac, have separate toasters, their meats are gluten free so most of their sandwiches can be made on GF bread. When we were ordering I mentioned that my daughter had a gluten allergy ( typically start there instead of with Celiac) and the waitress said allergy or does she have Celiac? They take extra precautions when it’s Celiac. To top it off the food is amazing and they have gluten free ice cream as well. We will definitely be back any time we are in Hilton Head.

The staff was amazing. They have a dedicated fryer and wore gloves and cleaned prep area. They even have gluten free ice cream and cones! Their gf bread is amazing g as well. We came back twice!

After talking with the cashier I was told that many items aren’t GF they in fact don’t have a separate panini press and all they really had was gc hot dog buns and bread.

Ordered a chicken avocado panini and it was made in a separate area with a separate panini press. It was very delicious! Lots of menu choices. Took a while to get our food though. Wish I wasn’t too full for ice cream!

Our waiter was brand new and was very willing to answer our many questions, and if he didn't know the answer, he would go ask the manager. Most items on the menu can be made gluten free. I had a chicken philly gf panini, and was very impressed.

Basically anything can be made gluten free! Lots of selection for paninis and sandwiches, and they were so good! There were separate areas for gluten free, so everything was safe. Not all icecream is GF, but plenty of options anyway. They also have a GF cone, but they were out when we went.

Amazing selection of different sandwiches! Both my boys said this was their favorite place to eat on the island. Food was so good, we all got a different sandwich and loved them all. Very knowledgeable about Celiac!

Ahhmazing! There are a lot of choices for gluten free (all Boar's Head meat/cheeses) and they totally understand cross contamination. There's a separate prep area for gluten free. My panini was fantastic and I finished it off with ice cream with a gluten free cone! First ice cream cone I've had since diagnosis 6 years ago! Highly recommend!

A must go. Great food and friendly staff. Fries share a fryer so aren't gluten free,but the have buns,breads,paninis as well as hamburgers and hotdogs. You ask for crispy bacon and you actually get it!

Excellent food and the staff was proactive and knowledgable about the requirements for avoiding cross contact with celiac disease. Friendly and welcoming - an easy place to go with celiac kids. Ice cream is especially delish!

Great food and they were very celiac and gluten aware, even double checked with me on everything. Fries are made in the same fryer so depending on how sensitive you are, you may want to skip those. But when I was there they did say they changed the oil that morning.

Go in, sit anywhere, server will give you a menu. They have GF breads and can make almost any of their paninis for you. They have a separate panini press for the G F, Chili is great too. Service is fast and attentive.

The place is a bit underwhelming. Staff not as knowledgeable as I would have hoped. Just a heads up, any ice cream with nuts in it contains wheat flour to float the nuts in the ice cream. I learned this after trying a sample of butter pecan. :/ Not many flavors to choose from when you exclude cookies and nuts so I just skipped the ice cream all together.

Very frustrating experience. Very disorganized. No one seemed to know what was going on. Service was okay at best. Only one of our kids was served their meal they didn't make the other one. Instead of an apology the older woman I assumed was a manager said it was because we ordered cheese on the side? Didn't realize ordering a side of shredded cheese would cancel out my sons entire order. I received my side of coleslaw 20 min before my sandwich. My husband received his side of fries around the same time . A lot of teenage staff just standing around. Overall disorganized wait service.

However there was a large selection of GF items. The Reuben was okay. The manager was friendly, you could tell she was frustrated with her staff. She apologized. Probably won't go back though.

Munchies is a great spot for both celiacs and non celiacs. The food is so yummy and the owner is so nice. Very aware of all allergies with a separate panini maker and grill for gluten free items. the gluten free bread was the best I have ever had. I had the chicken avocado panini and it was excellent. They also have gluten free baked goods including chocolate chip cookies! Will definitely be returning here.

Stopped here to grab a sandwich for lunch. I had the chicken and mushroom panini. The mushrooms were canned, which was disappointing, but overall, the sandwich was good. The people who worked there were incredibly nice and helpful when I told them I was celiac. It cost $45 for lunch for myself and my two kids (panini, cheeseburger, club sandwich, 2 Sprites, a water). I think this is a bit expensive, but everything in Hilton Head is expensive, so it wasn't unexpected. I would recommend (but skip the mushrooms).

Got a hot turkey Apple melt, it was a good size. Food came out very quickly. I'm very sensitive and did not have a reaction. They did not understand that preparing fries in a shared fryer was not GF friendly just FYI so I passed on those. Other similar items are probably not safe to eat. Gluten free items are indicated on the menu. Seems to be a popular spot for tourists (like myself) you are supposed to seat yourself but people were gathering at the counter to review the menu, which is out of date. Would recommend if you are in the area. 3 1/2 stars.

Good GF choices. All sandwiches , wraps, and panini's can be swapped for a GF option so there were a lot of menu choices. They even have GF hotdog buns. You know how sometimes GF bread can be dry and hard to swallow? Well, my husband and I both ordered Reubens and the bread on my GF as moist and tasty! I would return again!
