Had a hunt around all the stalls before ordering. None had gf options indicated. My wife and I are vegetarian so we went to the only place that had vegetarian options listed (apart from the crepes place but we knew that wasn’t gf) and asked which of them were gf and was told they all were. I went for the green curry as that seemed the safest bet. After we had ordered my wife pointed out that one of those “GF” options had udon noodles so that was unlikely to be gf. Our green curry and pad Thai had lots of fresh veges and turned out to be gf but neither tasted like the traditional version of the dish. The pizza place mentioned in another review wasn’t there. Not sure if they were taking a night off or have closed. The night market is probably great if you eat meat or fish and like loud music but it wasn’t really our scene.
I found a vendor that had GF Pad thai and they cooked it in a separate fryer. I did not have any reaction after so was very happy! It was very tasty also!
The lady who owns/runs Papa's Pizza is coeliac and makes the gf bases before she comes, then cooks them on tin foil. Also has wedges. She is really knowledgable about other safe places to eat so that was a bonus
Lots of stalls serving a variety of food, open four nights a week and well worth a visit. We found two serving GF meals, and I'm sure many others had GF good too. Just make sure to ask if any of their food contains gluten/wheat/flour, or soy sauce. A lot of places in Raro will say GF, not realising that the soy sauce they use contain wheat flour.
