Great tacos and frozen margaritas! Staff was kind and when I ordered using the code there was an option to choose Celiac as an allergy.

TERRIBLE PLACE. DO NOT GO HERE. They never have chips safe for GF. Also label Stuff and say things on menu are good. But when you ask it’s cross contamination. Did not feel safe eating here at all. So let my bf get food and then left. Not a good place. Not knowledgeable at all.

The last time I visited, they made a mistake and brought me chips that were from the regular fryer, not the gluten free chips. However, the server realized their mistake quickly (and gave me a new plate of food) after I made sure that it was entirely gluten free. He said their GF chips come in a plastic bag. Always ask for GF tortillas and then double-check that all is GF. The food itself is excellent.
As an update, earlier in 2022, they also inadvertently gave me regular tacos in my takeout order instead of corn ones despite ordering GF. They did replace my order for free after I pointed this out. It’s good food, but double-check everything.
Delicious food and knowledgeable, friendly staff and management. Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu and if you let the waiter know you have Celiac, they will bring out chips that have been fried and bagged separately. They change the oil twice a week and fry and bag chips for guests with Celiac first. One of my favorite places to go in Durham.

Staff did not understand what gluten is. They said their chips are hotter free Tues and Friday.

Have to order at their kiosk but states clearly what is GF and allows the option to provide a specific allergy (including celiac). Whoever is greeting/seating guests is good about reporting to the chef importance of GF if you ask them to and chef seemed to care. Chips and taquitos are marked GF but are fried in same oil as non-gf items. Wife (gf sensitive) liked the taquitos. Despite previous reviews, I thought the taste was really good for the price. They aren’t trying to be gourmet, we did order a lot of the add ons which helped give the food some extra flavor.

All of the staff were super knowledgeable on gluten-free and general questions asked about the menu. As far as flavor goes I thought they were average. The portions were very generous and the service was good. We enjoyed a nice afternoon lunch on the deck. Due to the experience, I would eat here again and hope for flavor improvement.

Delicious tacos, doing curbside during the pandemic. I like their queso and they have several good vegetarian options.

Every time I come here the staff has always been knowledgeable about celiacs and gluten cross contamination. I have never had a reaction and I have been coming here for about 2 years now.
Yes
I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is good, but they can be extremely slow and the staff is rude. We were the first ones at the restraunt upon opening and it took them an extremely long time to bring out our food. When we asked to change our order to a carry out order (because they took so long and we had somewhere to be), the girl who took our order rolled her eyes and actually ended up giving us the wrong order) So don't go here if you have anywhere to be. They do carry gluten free chips and tortillas, but have always been out if the gluten free chips every time I have visited. UPDATE 4/2019: I spoke with the manager and they technically do not use a dedicated fryer for the "celiac chips". They wipe down their fryer really well, then fry the "celiac chips" first thing in the morning, and then fry other gluten containing items in it the rest of the day. HOWEVER, the manager was super nice, especially after finding out I would get sick every time I had the chips and he offered to make anything with store bought chips that I could bring in.
One of the only places around here I completely trust. Staff is knowledgeable and careful, I always get gluten free corn tortillas and chips when they have them. They make fresh chips in a dedicated fryer Tuesday’s and Fridays and have never gotten sick. Make sure you’re vocal about the allergy and they will take care of you!
Yes
They have many gluten free options and can even give you bagged gluten free chips made in a dedicated frier. Love the pork bowl. đ
Yes
I’ve gotten sick here 2 or 3 times. Unfortunately, I kept giving them more chances, because they are usually quick and convenient. Anyway, not sure if their “gluten free” chips glutened me or just cross contamination, but I was sick for three days after my last time eating here.
No
They had trouble understanding for a catering event, I got to eat tortillas.
The restaurant was fine, the parking is a pain.
I honestly don't suggest going here. Got the soup of the day which was potato and bacon soup (because I didn't feel like having gf tacos) and it was very spicy and when it came to my table it had chips with it. Before I order I asked the lady at the front if the soup was GF she said it was so I assumed the chips would be as well. Boy was I wrong 10 minutes into eating I felt so so sick and I was sick for a while and I haven't been that sick in one year so I stopped eating and left. I assume it was the chips that made me sick but could have been the spices in the soup. I don't think I will be returning.
No
you have to ask for gluten free tortillas (their standard corn tortillas aren't gf). tacos and salads are very good.
I can't get enough of this place! I get the burrito bowl which is pleeenty of food. The waiters are very knowledgeable and asked me if I was celiac because the fryer is shared - sadly tortilla chips are a no go. Great toppings, slaws, salsas, meat, desserts AND margaritas.
Great tacos, corn tortillas, and knowledgeable staff.
Their chips are GMO and not GF so I bring my own. The chicken mole is delicious.
no gluten free tortilla chips :(
But, I got some corn tortillas and scooped up some delicious guac.
The chicken mole was yummy.
Corn tortillas best I've had to date. Knowledgeable staff
Really excellent tacos for a good price. They use corn tortillas for the gf option. Skip the chips (no dedicated fryer) but load up on all the salsa and veggies on the cold bar.
