Love Nando’s!! So handy as a coeliac. They take it very seriously there and have a big black book with dedicated foods in it. I always have a whole chicken with mango and lime, peri salted chips and spicy rice. The frozen yoghurt is also gluten free but the other desserts are not.
Although they dont currently have a gluten free menu, options are available online and the staff are knowledgeable. The majority of their chicken is gluten free as are the sauces they use and most of the sides. The staff are happy to help, on occasion they have cleaned the grill prior to cooking an allergy meal, this may mean it takes longer but the food tastes amazing. Good as a quick gf fast food and you can takeaway if you fancy.
Although they do not have a gf menu, most of the food is gluten free. Including all the chicken and sauces. When you mention you are gluten intolerant they go out of their way to look after you. Sometimes full on cleaning the grill before they do your food. This may mean a little wait but the food is just gorgeous when you get it. I've never had any issues here and have been eating here for 4 years.
Real surprise , full allergen menu, understood difference between allergy and intolerance. Marked food and followed order in kitchen. Cleaned grilled to avoid contamination. Food is as expected for Nando’s, tasty, quick, good value
When I asked for the allergen menu, I was given an enormous book, and the manager came over and explained my options. The only thing they put in the deep fryer is their chips, which are GF! The Peri-salted chips are also GF now! Chicken and all sauces are GF. They have an allergy protocol in the kitchen as well. AWESOME!!!!
The online menu clearly states what is gluten free.
Really good gluten free chicken. Lots of GF choices. Nandos is known for good training and limiting cross contamination and on our one visit, my celiac daughter did not get sick. She also loved the chicken.
I've always thought Nando's was a great place for celiacs, that was till I ate here! I have visited this Nando's twice and both times they have made me sick! They do not take celiac disease seriously and didn't seem to know what it was. The first time I visited my self and a friend ordered our food separately. However they bought our food together on one place. (I thought this so odd even if I wasn't a celiac.) my friends garlic bread was on the plate. I took it back to the till were the staff told me to remove it and didn't understand cross contamination at all. He called a manager who took the plate away. I do think I was given the same chicken that touch the garlic bread as I was sick after. The second time I went I was made sick again and as I was leaving I watch the grill cook that was mixing the chicken and bread on the grill and using the same utensils. Really a very bad Nando's.
good food and gluten free including their fries
Great to be able to eat chips!
