I enjoyed the breakfast tacos and powerhouse smoothie. I prefer the Encinitas location though, as they have a more expensive menu.
Happy to see that Nectarine Grove is multiplying locations. This is a great spot to grab a quick slice of quiche or breakfast sandwich as a savory more hearty bite to eat as a celiac. I am a very sensitive celiac so I’m forever grateful for a dedicated kitchen that has more than just baked goods. I highly recommend the turmeric latte as well!
BEST GF BAKED GOODS ANYWHERE! This was my first time to this location and I was overwhelmed (in the best way possible) by all the options. The chocolate croissants are out of this world delicious. The cinnamon rolls are always a winner. And the butter lattes are amazing! I have never had a bad experience at either location. If you are in the Encinitas area and need some amazing GF food, Nectarine Grove is my top recommendation.
Great lunch and bought a bunch of treats to try. Had a chicken pesto sandwich w soup of the day (chicken pot pie) w the berry lemonade which was also a special. Of the treats we tried later, the absolute standout is the pecan bar (recommended by the person we ordered from- OMG), the peanut butter brownie and raspberry bar. Chocolate croissant was also a standout given its gf. Stopped by the next day on our way out of town to get more pecan bars and peanut butter brownies. Amazing.
This is the best place to go if you are gluten free. It is a dedicated gluten free facility and restaurant. They have a baked goods case and breakfast and lunch foods. I have yet to find a better gf chocolate croissant, cinnamon roll, plain croissant, cupcake, etc etc. My boyfriend and I both have celiac disease and we always hit up Nectarine Grove whenever we are in the SD area. I cannot recommend this place enough. I’m updating this review a year plus after first discovering it and my feelings have only deepened about this place. It’s so good. A must go.
I went here last weekend, and boy, am I glad I did! I got the breakfast sandwich, and it was equally as good as the one at LA’s “Great White.” I was in heaven. I have been exposed so many times in San Diego. and have a lot of food anxiety now. I’m so happy this place exists, and I can’t wait to go back!
What a great experience. 100 percent gluten free menu. Kind staff, amazingly fresh food packed with flavor. Highly recommend a stop here. We had the morning glory bowl with delicious cashew crema, the turkey and prosciutto sandwich on the most incredible gluten free croissant, and the Del Mar salad (I think that was the name of it). We also got carrot cake muffins, hostess looking chocolate muffin and the paleo brownie. All food was delicious, very fair priced! I wanted to honestly buy all of it even the frozen breads and waffles they had for offerings. This is a must stop for sure!
The croissant is so good. Prosciutto fig sandwich on croissant is amazing as well. Baked goods delicious. Highly recommend
Excellent options for breakfast & lunch. Many refrigerated items to take home and prepare later. Healthy and good at Tue same time! Finally a place where people with allergies do not have to explain.
Cross contamination. Somehow gluten is making its way into the kitchen. Not sure if it's employees bringing their own bread to make sandwiches or what. It's happened two times now.
Hi Jennifer- I'm so sorry that you felt there was cross contamination! I can assure you we do not let our employees bring in their own bread. We give them free meals everyday they work from our menu as they are not allowed to bring outside food. Could there have been another allergen causing you issues? Perhaps a gluten free flour or dairy, etc? We have an allergen guide at the front register in case you ever want to check if before ordering. We also test our food often using the Nima sensor and have never had an issue. Thank you!
New location opened recently in Del Mar. A little pricey but every thing we have tried has been amazing! So far we have tried the cinnamon rolls (which are huge), butter and chocolate croissants, coffee cake and sandwiches. Definitely recommend getting the sandwiches on a croissant! Also everything being gluten free is great not having to worry about cross contamination.
