You won’t find a place with more gluten free options. The icing on the GF cake is that this place is DELICIOUS. Try the biscuits and gravy for breakfast or the macaroni and cheese with bacon for dinner. For dessert, the chocolate crinkle cookies are amazing. If you’re in STL, you have to try this place! I can’t count the times I’ve been here in the 5 years I’ve been gluten free. 😂
Such a limited bakery selection. The frozen cinnamon rolls I got were good! But based on the reviews I was really hoping for more options to take home with me. I wish they put their menu online so I could have known what to expect.
The best place in St. Louis! First French toast and biscuits and gravy I’ve had in years!!
What a find! We’ve gone here for several meals on our vacation. Everything is really great! They have a sign on the door saying that no outside food is allowed to keep a safe environment.
Amazing. So many options several dairy free as well for the hubs. To go items as well. Staff was friendly knowledgeable and overall will be back!!
Completely gluten-free restaurant! I believe they are also nut-free, and they have many dairy-free and vegetarian options. It’s amazing to be able to eat everything on the menu!!! Can’t speak highly enough about the staff, experience, and food.
Food was amazing. Staff was friendly. What a great find for my work trip to STL.
Always so happy to get to dine at New Day Gluten Free Cafe, delicious and safe food.
SO. FREAKING. GOOD. Tons of options across savory and sweet. Pecan Tart was insanely good, as was the butter cookie. Loved delicious garlic bread and so many all day breakfast options! Everyone should go here!!
This place is delicious. So many options and everything was flavorful. Definitely recommend
New Day is simply the BEST restaurant we have ever found for my wife. We live in a much bigger city than St. Louis, but New Day is the only dedicated facility we’ve found that offers substantial and delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert foods. We’ll be ordering from their online menu to have items shipped to us!
First time-chicken pot pie is amazing! Had pumpkin bread-amazing! All gluten free-can’t wait to try other items. Highly recommend.
this is by far the best place every. I won't eat anywhere else when in this area and is definitely worth a drive.
I visited for the first time yesterday, two months after my celiac diagnosis. It was so comforting to find a place that is 100% safe. I had the biscuits and gravy, which were delicious! The gravy tasted better than any I’ve EVER had in a restaurant. You could tell the biscuits were gf (crispy around the edges, kinda bland) but the gravy more than made up for it. My father has the pancakes which were disappointing. The pancakes themselves were sour. And they mix agave nectar with pure maple syrup till it no longer tastes like syrup. I ordered a muffin to go. I’ll definitely be back to this celiac safe zone!
AMAZING! Dedicated gluten free. We had meatball sub, Italian melt, BREAD BOWLS with tomato soup. AND, for dessert my son had a lemon cupcake and I had a pecan tart. Everything was EXCELLENT!!!!!
Excellent service, great menu and good food!!
I have Celiac and was so excited to eat here. It exceeded my expectations as not only was it good GF eating... but it was delicious. They offer soup, sandwiches, pasta, pizza and largest variety of GF desserts I have ever seen. Tried a variety of items at my table and would highly recommend mac n cheese, broccoli cheese soup w/ breadstick and a chocolate dome!! I don't live nearby but definitely will be making the trip again as soon as possible!! Thank you for making dining out a positive experience!
It was really good. Lots and lots of gluten free options! Can't wait until we go again
We are visiting from Texas. I have celiac and was super excited to find this little gem. I had the biscuits and gravy, creamy, lots of flavor, biscuits had a little crunch to the edge but soft in the middle. Definitely a treat. I also purchased donuts and cinnamon rolls for later. Everything is gluten free. Super friendly staff. Can't wait to go back.
pretty fantastic. expensive, so normal GF prices. go out of your way to come here if you are in the St Louis area
Great food and great service. I would recommend the fried egg sandwich. They are a dedicated gfree facility and they have the bread recipe down!
Dedicated so no risk for cross-contamination. Dairy free options. I had the garlic bread and it was delicious. My family thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast food as well.
Love this place! This is always my first choice to eat when in STL. Food is always so good & always fresh, never have to worry about getting sick from food or from cross contamination as they dont even allow other foods to enter the store! Love love love!
Everything was delicious. My non-celiac husband enjoyed everything he ordered as well. They do birthday cakes, wedding cakes, and they even ship their products. Wonderful staff and service to boot. They also have many dairy or egg free desserts.
The breadsticks! The gooey butter cookies! The mac and cheese! Holy cow, what a spot.
I've been here twice in the past two weeks. Love everything I've tried. Even my family members who don't need to eat gluten free have enjoyed their meals.
Love seeing my celiac kids smile so big!! We will be back!
So many options! Delicious, too!!!
Spent a week in St. Louis with my celiac 6 yr old son. Loved this place. Food was great and felt safer than even my own gf kitchen back home. Ever city needs one of these restaurants.
Service superb, food plentiful, perfect American-style comfort and local, in a charming little cafe -- New Day Gluten Free Cafe is a revelation. It's rare to find a dedicated gluten-free facility; rarer still to find one whose care and cooking has made a chemical reaction of nearly perfect noshing. From waffles, pancakes, and classic egg-n-toast breakfast to meatball subs, sandwiches and later-day offerings, New Day wins at celiac-safe, gluten-free, quality food. I only wish their waffles and pancakes were dairy-free as well! But their french toast, thankfully, is dairy-free, and New Day offers a healthy array of options for those who can't eat dairy along with gluten. It isn't organic, and their baked goods include canola oil if not using butter. But that's another superb aspect of this cafe: baked goods out the ears. Muffins, cupcakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls -- and one of the best compliments I can give didn't come from me. I took my grandmum in on Tuesday, and she -- not gluten-free by any stretch -- dubbed the gluten-free toast (a blend of rice, almond, and white bean flours) the best toast she'd ever had. Need a gluten-free meal in the midwest? Hit up New Day. They are a home-run.
Amazing gluten free options. We spent 3 nights in St. Louis and I think I ate here 5 times! My very favorite was the biscuits and gravy and also a sausage biscuit (the latter isn't on the menu so I ordered a 1/2 order of biscuits (to get 1 biscuit) and a side of sausage patties and made a sandwich). The sugar cookies with the fluffy icing are also AMAZING. We bought a red velvet cake for my daughter's birthday and it was very, very good. The only things I got that weren't A+ were the mac and cheese and lasagna; they were decent, but nothing worth writing home about. I cannot wait to go back to this place. I'm salivating just thinking about it!
I think they forgot to take their recipe book with them when they moved. Disappointed with cupcakes mostly icing and still dry. Prices seem high even for so so gluten free
The safest place I've ever ate at. Love their food!
This place is a dedicated GF bakery and cafe. It was a must we go here while we were visiting St Louis and have lunch. My son had the Mac and Cheese, 12 yo celiac daughter had the lasagna, husband had the Italian sub and I had the turkey club. Everything was delicious. The GF bread here is some of the best I have had. That included the breadsticks that came with the mac and cheese and lasagna; they were so soft. Also, the sandwich bread was super soft even the crust was soft and edible. The only thing that would have made it better is if a few of the items would have been available in a kid size serving like the Mac and Cheese. Currently there are no Kids items you just have to order the full size version. Lots of dessert options as well. We were here on a Saturday before Mother's Day and it didn't appear there were any issues of them running out of "sweet" dessert options like some dedicated bakeries that just bake barely enough for that day. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in St Louis. I have uploaded pictures of all our food including our dessert.
The cafe has so many GF options from breakfast to dinner and all GF.
Beat Day Ever! Food is great. Staff is great.
My husband and I went here this morning for waffles and pancakes. The prices are higher than gluten containing foods but it's worth the expense to not have the gluten side effects. Food was good and have cookies and cupcakes in the car for when we get home.
We were in town visiting Wash U with my daughter and were only here for a day and half. That tells you something when we ended up eating here three times during that time period. The waffles and pancakes were light and fluffy! The pizza was probably the best pizza I've ever tasted -- GF or not. My wife has Celiac disease and had no issues whatsoever since the entire place is GF. My daughter and wife's willpower was not strong enough to resist some of the baked goodies, which were supposed to be eaten later but never made it to the car. What a treat and what a joy. Super nice staff, too! Definitely recommend.
very good and tasty. 4 stars because maybe a little bit expensive. everythings was fine.
Great! Cute cafe with several sit down tables. The facility was immaculate and beautiful. GF baked goods were tastefully displayed in a bakers case and a menu showed so many GF choices, I had to really think about it. I chose pizza and my husband (who doesn't have to be GF) chose a sub sandwich. Both were EXCELLENT. Everything there is gluten free so relax and enjoy. The staff were helpful and friendly and I loved the whole experience. We bought muffins, cupcakes, and cookies before we left but we're too full to eat them then. I highly recommend this place!
My first visit to new location. The food is still delicious and the food case was filled with wonderful goodies. Love this place and so happy it has re-opened in a great location.
Sandwiches are great! Staff is so friendly. The owner has personally been dedicated to providing gluten free products that are delicious. Best find anywhere.
First visit to the new location and it's so nice! Sunny, cozy, and easy parking. And of course my sandwich was yummy.
#1 gluten free place in the world! By far. This food is great even compared to the restaurants with gluten food. Don't miss this place. Worth driving a great distance. Try one of each on the menu. Especially the biscuits and gravy. Don't forget a to-go order on the way out. Definitely celiac friendly.
Oh my gosh!!! This place is absolutely amazing! It is not just a bakery but it also has food and drinks. The muffins are awesome and so are the cupcakes, cookies, and brownies. We did not get any dinner food but the people who were eating while we were there seemed to be enjoying what they were getting and many people were calling to order food items and get lunch to go! Highly recommend visiting!!
Delicious crispy Belgian waffle with butter and maple syrup! Others at my table enjoyed breakfast rice, and traditional breakfast. The owner was friendly and gracious.
I have celiac disease and It was great being able to eat not having to worry about cross contamination.
The Best Around! Biscuits and Gravy are the best, pizza crusts sold to Cecil Whittakers are awesome too!
Just awesome! The cafe pricing is totally worth it to be able to eat ANYTHING you want and not have to worry!!!
Not only was the staff amazing but everything my family of 6 ate was amazing, we even took goodies home with us (Back to Michigan) I would recommend this for anyone.
