Review of Newport Rib Company

Enter at your own risk. We have been visiting Newport Beach for years and our family of 5 Celiacs have always had this as a must stop while we’re here. Unfortunately, this week we stopped in and did not have that great experience of years past. The waitress did not know what was gf or not and to the point of bringing us a book. We asked if there was anyone else we could speak with and she said there were no specialists. When I said we’d probably have to leave because we didn’t feel safe, she said, “yeah, that’d probably be best”. Maybe, we just had bad timing. Items are clearly marked, but, we just didn’t have a good vibe. Bummed. Our 2 star rating is for the safeness of the food and this experience with the service, not the taste remembered from previous visits which was great.
