I really like nine pin’s tap room. All their ciders are gf and you can get almost all the food items gf as well. Its not a dedicated space but they have a completely separate area of the kitchen - separate oven, cutting boards, utensils etc. They take gf very seriously here. You just let them know you have a gluten allergy (which they will ask if you forget to say) and then it will be prepared in the gf area. All the food is really good too! This is a great place to come and hang with friends for the afternoon/evening
Great place, great servers, fun and relaxed atmosphere! Ask for Lauren, was super helpful for me tonight... Very kind and patient assist.
It was a beautiful Nov night for outdoor seating (although I enjoyed indoors).
Any time we travel West from MA, we make sure to stop here!
They offer a great "small posted" GF menu. Any bread items are from Birch Bakery (Troy, NY). Birch Bakery is delicious and they offer the GF pizza (light, fluffy crust).
Their original Nine Pin Cider is great, but they also offer many different flavors.
Tonight I enjoyed a small flight, which consists of 4 of their 4oz glasses and samples you choose from the board.
I tried their Apple Pie Secco (didn't care for)... Blueberry Peach Cobbler (delicious!)...
Signature Cider (ALWAYS good) & Belgian (I loved this, I think my new favorite)!
I had the chicken & potato empanada, which was appt 4" in length and stuffed to the max! It was very good in taste, although I wished there was a GF sauce of some kind for dipping.
Thank you for those posting before me! All of their local cider is gf and had a lot of variety under a clearly marked gf list for food. They mark for dairy as well, which I was appreciative of. I got the chicken/potato empanada and the hummus with veggies. Both were delicious! If I hadn’t had the hummus, I could of eaten two empanadas, as it was kind of small. I would highly recommend! The maple vanilla soda was delicious as well!!
This place has a variety of ciders and so many great gluten free options from a variety of local places, (I.e., O’Malleys and Birch Baked, which are delicious). Their items sometimes change but they usually have hand pies, empanadas, pizzas, and cheese/charcuterie boards. They also have fun events and outdoor seating when it’s warm.
Nine Pin is a local cider company in the Albany area, and all of their ciders are gluten free. They do serve beers on tap from other breweries, and those may not be safe, but all of the in-house ciders are.
The ciders produced here tend to be drier than commonly available cider brands, and they offer a rotating supply of new flavors to always keep you coming back!
Recently they started serving locally made gluten-free hand pies from O'Malley's Oven, and the items I've tried were fantastic!
