No dedicated menu but the food at breakfast was good and they take allergies very seriously and let me order from different parts of the menu
If you want expensive safe sushi this is your place. Staff is knowledgeable on cross contamination. They do not have a gluten free menu but waiters can point out safe options and communicate with sushi bar & kitchen. I normally just order from sushi bar so I’m not as aware of the safety of food from kitchen area.
The worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in years. We left halfway through dinner. I’ve been to 4 other Nobus around the world and all of them have been incredible with my allergies. Our waitress had no idea what was gluten free. She named about 6-7 items that she had scribbled on a note and we ordered them all, as the servings are very small. We asked if each item was gluten free as it arrived, and 2/4 of the items were not. Luckily we double checked before eating them, but they are so careless. They ended up cancelling the rest of our order as it wasn’t gluten free, as it turned out there was soy sauce in the guacamole. Not sure why a high end restaurant charging this much couldn’t whip up a fresh batch of guacamole, but I guess it comes pre-made. They tried to bring over some Parmesan rice but the waitresses were debating whether or not it had gluten in it, so we ended up telling them we didn’t feel safe eating there and left. The manager came out and didn’t end up charging us, but didn’t seem to agree that the allergies were mishandled. I don’t think they learned anything from this experience so I would avoid this place!
The waitress was extremely knowledgeable about what can be made gluten free or not and most of the menu can be made GF. The food was truly astounding and the atmosphere is incredible.
I had :
Toro tartare with caviar
Tiradito
New style sashimi - beef ( you can pick your protein)
Black cod miso
Mixed vegetables
Miso cappuccino dessert
It was honestly one of the best meals of my gluten free life and did not feel sick at all afterwards
We told them what we wanted and they said what could be gluten free and were willing to modify— like some of the dishes came with crispy stuff or other sauces that weren’t gluten free and made it without. Cross contamination with fried things though (like crispy rice). Great food! Our favorites were the black cod with miso, roasted cauliflower, and spicy scallop roll. Definitely recommend
