The staff was very accommodating, even had delicious gluten free starter bread! Wide variety of food on their GF menu, including pastas that tasted like regular pasta. Passionate about allergies and very knowledgeable about celiacs. Would recommend to anyone gluten free or not, very good experience!
The staff was so knowledgeable about gluten free options and the GF menu was extensive. Had the lettuce wraps, clam chowder and grilled scallops. Phenomenal food. Such a great experience.
Huge gluten free menu! Gluten free bread servers very knowledgeable about celiac. I have full blown celiac and did not get sick from eating there. I would definitely go back !
Staff was kind and knowledgeable about Celiacs and gf options but at the end of the night I was glutened :( wonderful experience in the restaurant but probably not going back for a while.
Great gluten free menu with a lot of option and also give you gluten free bread to start!
Went there for Mother's Day with my Family. I told them I had celiac and waitress was on top of it, she informed manager and cook staff. I asked for gluten-free bread and within minutes, a different server came over and put bread on the table stating "here is your gluten-free bread". It was regular bread....... waitress and Manager both apologized but that doesn't fix the problem ......will never go back. Besides all that, Service was awful!
Very good! The server asked as soon as we sat down if there were any food allergies. She informed us about a gluten free menu. Lots of options! We got a ton of gluten free bread that was bomb.com! So soft and fluffy!
GLUTENED! We have the Nima and tested the Gluten Free Jambalaya. Positive for gluten! Terrible service to boot! Will never be going back! BEWARE!
Been there a few times. Last time, my wife who has Celiac got violently sick from gluten.
The one time I ate here, the gluten free bread on my sandwich crumbled like dust and they gave me a side of regular bread with my gluten free order.
Best GF local restaurant hands down! Our group ordered 2 Jambalaya's and mine came out as GF-prepared. I will be going to NYA Joe's often.
Great service and the best GF bread! I highly recommend it. We had the chicken caprese and the steak wedge--both delicious.
Great gluten free bread and oil before meal. Vet extensive menu. Celiac friendly
Fantastic restaurant with superb service, and really great gluten-free options. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about Celiac, and made us feel at home. We will be back!
They always go above and beyond!
Food was great, staff seems knowledgable, love the gluten free bread they give you before the meal!!!! There is a separate gluten free menu with a decent amount of options. I have never had any issues at any of their locations.
I was really excited to eat here when I saw 5 stars from people. Looked at the menu and I was even more excited! I was certainly not disappointed. My own gluten free bread, gluten free rolls and gluten free carrot cake!!
I went to the Kentland's location of Not Your Average Joe's and fell in love! They not only have a gluten free menu, but they also bring out a GF bread basket when you first sit down with this amazing garlic butter dip. I ordered the gluten free cheeseburger and asked if I could have french fries with it. It's not on their menu, but they offered to bake the french fries for me so as to not fry them and contaminate them in any way. It took longer and they weren't ask crispy, but I enjoyed them! Their food is amazing and you also get a free meal and dessert for your birthday if you sign up for their members club email. It's now my favorite restaurant!
A serious commitment to great-tasting gluten-free food. Friendly staff $ great service, too! Highly recommended.
They take great care in preparing GF meals.
Food was great. Service was good too. Had the scallop appetizer which was excellent. Ordered the house salad in the small size. They delivered the large size. Just so much iceberg lettuce one person can it. Ranch dressing is the "real" deal. I will be back. Gotta try the burgers on gluten free bun.
Great GF menu and wonderful GF rolls.
Very nice menu. Great service. Great quality!
NYAJ is great. they work hard to accommodate my son's gluten allergy and will make him things not on the menu such as grilled cheese. we go a lot because of their knowledge of food allergies.
Great place, but can get very busy at times especially on weekends. They have a pretty large gluten free menu. They will also bring out dipping sauce with gluten free bread. The food is fantastic. The waitress we had was very nice and knowledgeable about gluten free. They also have gluten free pasta.
I don’t think I got glutened but the food is not good here and I don’t feel good after eating here—not a full celiac reaction but definitely bloated, tired etc. It’s like a 1980s menu—chicken Parmesan etc. If I were eating a meal on a layover at an airport between two long flights I would be ok I guess with the meal I had just because I didn’t get glutened but I didn’t enjoy it. Also they delivered our entrees and totally forgot our apps until we asked. It’s basically just a restaurant for people who aren’t really into food. The waiter was nice though and they seem to be careful about cross contamination. This restaurant would probably work for older visiting relatives or kids.
All I can say is AMAZING. Just went in for burgers. The buns were a little dry like most gluten free, but the flavor is good. The burgers themselves were delicious as were the mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. My daughter got the kids meal gluten free mac and cheese which was to die for. Finished off with a piece of gf carrot cake. Our waitress was attentive, but not invasive. Manager brought my food to the table as I also have shellfish and dill allergies. I have never had this level of service outside of Disney World. Will be back, even if it is two hours from home.
Great service. I'm GF and DF. Manager came to the table because she has DF allergies too. There wasn't much for me in regard to menu items because of being DF, but from what I saw, everything GF looked good! Server and manager kept coming back to check up on me. Great job!
They have a gluten free menu. I am pretty new to this no gluten thing, only about 6 months in progress. And I'm not sure I have an issue with cross contamination at this point i haven't noticed an issue yet. This restaurant has a gluten free menu which gets me sooo excited now! Its actually a pretty wide variety of options too I didn't feel deprived at all! They brought me glute free bread too, i am not sure if its the same at all locations, but the warwick RI locations bread is bomb! I would recommend you try it for sure.
Absolutely wonderful meal last evening. The GF bread & dipping sauce was so good. Our waitress Jasmine was very helpful. I also have an issue with casein & the chef came out to offer me another side instead of the coleslaw. No reactions. 5 star in my book!
Great experience. Gluten free menu was delivered to the table with the regular menu. They had GF bread for the table that was awesome.
Absolutely fantastic!!!! HUGE GF menu including the most amazing carrot cake for dessert. I have not had carrot cake in 5 years and it's my favorite. I got the chicken piccata and it was delicious. I literally can't say enough. The waitess brought me warm GF bread with olive oil....and they are super clean and very nice!
This has always been an easy place for me to eat. The gluten free options are fairly extensive. I am also dairy free. That limits the options quite a bit, but there are still several options to choose. The gluten free rolls are very good. However, friend ordered the Jambalaya. Not a dish they should have on the menu...just because it was not Jambalaya!
One of my favorite restaurants. Their staff understands that people truly need gluten free. Their gf bread is amazing, and the carrot cake (which is always gf) is the best. It’s my husband’s favorite cake, and he hates carrot cake. I am never disappointed.
The staff was very friendly. I got the tomato basil soup which was nice and creamy with a lot of flavor. I also got the chicken quesadilla which had a good flavor but was so greasy that I had to use napkins to soak some of it up.
Staff was knowledgeable and confident when it came to allergens. I have a dairy allergy as well as being celiac and the wait staff and kitchen had no problem double checking ingredients for me. Definitely would eat here again without hesitation- had spaghetti squash bolognese with mushroom and their gf roll was perfection!!
The bread!! Amazing! It is so good and appreciated. My whole family loved it. I got the penne with seafood and lobster sauce. It was good but the pasta had the weird after taste. Carrot cake for desert was solid.
A perfect dining experience for me is good food, good price, gf dedicated menu, and the manager bringing my food to me with the verbal assurance that it's 100% GF! I got all of that here!
I’ve seen great reviews about this restaurant, but I honestly wasn’t impressed. I don’t think the gluten free menu was very big. They advertised as having gluten free chicken parmesan, but all it consisted of was chicken with some melted cheese on top. The food was bland and lacked flavor. There are better places than this to go for gf dining.
OMG the Gluten Free bread is SO yummy! So soft, delicious and spongy... not dry and crumbly like most GF bread. The GF Chicken Piccata was Awesome!! They have a separate GF menu (orange) with lots of GF options... even Dessert! I posted photos but not sure where they went.
Appetizers, many meal selections and dessert options all gluten free. Also GF bread and dipping oil/parm cheese at the table. Waiter was very knowledgeable. Not everyone at our table ordered GF. Manager brought out all GF dishes to ensure they were correct and not cross contaminated.
Soooooo good for celiac! We had the GF pasta 4-cheese with the sausage option. Didn’t get sick and it was good! lots, Lots, LOTS of options! A fantastic place which is cognizant of celiac and GF people!
Best GF experience ever! Very big GF friendly menu with GF knowledgeable and accommodating staff!
Joe’s has an extensive GF menu, GF bread and GF rolls (both caramelized onion), and GF pasta, however, depending on the wait staff and how busy it is, you need to be careful to ensure you meal is actually prepared GF. I have had a few instances where I have asked the staff who delivers my meal if it is both GF/DF and they were unsure about one or both allergens. Ultimately, an awesome menu but you need to be proactive about advocating for yourself.
It has been 3 months and I must say Joe’s has done an awesome job at redeeming themselves. I contacted the head office and they were wonderful at addressing the issue ( see below). I have eaten there 4 times since June. They put in the computer that I need to speak to the manager before ordering due to gluten. The manager makes sure the kitchen is aware and then he brings the food out. I don’t know if there has been a change to the kitchen, but in the past 8 months, I have had issues with cross contamination. Twice with barley in my food, which they said was due to a cutting board to close to the gluten food, and tonight I found a piece of pasta in my green beans. The manager said chances were that it was regular pasta. I loved this place and trusted them. Love the place! They actually have a menu that has quite a few choices. They seem to understand about celiac and gluten intolerance. Each time my meal was brought out separately.
An entire separate menu dedicated to people with gluten allergy/intolerance. I felt so welcome! They even have gluten free bread to snack on. My waitress was very knowledgeable about cross contamination and gluten in general.
