The waiter brought me warm spongy delicious gluten-free buns and Parmesan dipping sauce - and I was in heaven! That alone was enough - so delicious! Then my hamburger in a gluten-free bun came, and I was so happy to enjoy that rare treat. The staff are very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They told me the fries are not gluten-free so that was a disappointment - I hope they can change that in future. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! I’ll definitely go back!

Went on Monday for lunch with 6 people including my 5 year old celiac child. Was impressed with the breadth of the GF menu. She was thrilled to have some GF bread. Unfortunately, while she was eating the GF macaroni, I realized there was a curly noodle in the middle of her GF penne. The kitchen said they think a noodle from a regular mac and cheese just accidentally slipped into her dish but I don't see how that is possible if any sort of basic precautions are being made. She woke up in the middle of the night with cramps. We will likely try another location of this chain again due to the broad options but I was pretty disappointed in their safe food handling.

I got a carry-out and the pasta was already cold when I got it and the chicken was just a big over-cooked slab. The sauce was really salty and they put the potatoes in the same compartment so it was drowning in salty, lemon sauce.

The food was great, plenty of gluten free options, including dessert. The waitstaff was knowledgeable and very considerate about Celiac. They brought out gluten free bread to start with--it was awesome. My young daughter is the one who has Celiac, so she was disappointed not to see gf fries, but they said they could make some for us in a pan. It was very busy, yet the manager came over and let us know he knew we were eating from the gf menu and they would take it seriously and pay special attention to our food preparation. The combination of their attention to gf needs and delicious food means we will definitely be back!

YOU GUYS. This place is unreal. Fresh, delicious bread, ridiculously good food, and even a dessert option or two. I was so grateful to have such an amazing meal I was nearly in tears. And they were VERY careful, even announcing with my entree, "no gluten has been near this dish." Can't wait to come back.

Joe’s has an extensive GF menu, GF bread and GF rolls (both caramelized onion), and GF pasta, however, depending on the wait staff and how busy it is, you need to be careful to ensure you meal is actually prepared GF. I have had a few instances where I have asked the staff who delivers my meal if it is both GF/DF and they were unsure about one or both allergens. Ultimately, an awesome menu but you need to be proactive about advocating for yourself.

It has been 3 months and I must say Joe’s has done an awesome job at redeeming themselves. I contacted the head office and they were wonderful at addressing the issue ( see below). I have eaten there 4 times since June. They put in the computer that I need to speak to the manager before ordering due to gluten. The manager makes sure the kitchen is aware and then he brings the food out. I don’t know if there has been a change to the kitchen, but in the past 8 months, I have had issues with cross contamination. Twice with barley in my food, which they said was due to a cutting board to close to the gluten food, and tonight I found a piece of pasta in my green beans. The manager said chances were that it was regular pasta. I loved this place and trusted them. Love the place! They actually have a menu that has quite a few choices. They seem to understand about celiac and gluten intolerance. Each time my meal was brought out separately.

When I ordered she verified that it was gluten free. They even had a separate person drop off my meal and he verified again it was gluten free. I’ve never been out to eat and felt so normal! I've been here twice this spring and have unfortunately had cross-contamination symptoms both times. The first time I visited, my GF bread was delivered with obvious residue from the regular onion bread on the base of the roll - it seems like they may not know to change their gloves. The second visit, I opted to forgo the bread, but felt mildly ill 24-48 hours later, which is my usual response to cross contamination. I'm extremely sensitive, so those who are not may have better luck!!

Incredibly celiac and allergy friendly. There are few celiac friendly restaurants in Woodbridge, but this is a safe place with knowledgeable staff. They have a large GF menu, and if you say you have celiac the manager/chef will probably come by or may even wait on you. Several good experiences. Did have one waitress once who was a little off her game since it was a very busy late night and slipped up with regular bread, but I checked before eating it since I’m careful, but it was a good reminder to be extra vigilant.

We were excited to go here after reading the reviews but were sorely disappointed. The utensils and plates were dirty, our waters had floaters in them and my celiac daughter was ill right after she ate. She had the gf bread which a piece looked like it had some green mold on it (she didn’t eat it)and had a hamburger and fruit. Hamburger was not good and bun was average. Not impressed with serving staff either. Would not recommend d for celiacs.

The appetizer bread and dip was DELICIOUS! And save a piece for the tomato basil soup. I didn’t love the rosemary mayo on the turkey club, but the sandwich itself was great.
