What a disaster. I booked a table as their menu shows allergen symbols, so I thought they had some clue on what their food contains. When I got there and asked them if the wheat symbol meant that the food contained gluten or if it meant the dish wash gluten free they were completely lost. I gave them a note explaining my allergy in Turkish, which the waiter read and told the chef. He came back and said I could not eat anything. I talked to him and understood he was talking about lactose, which I explained was fine. The waiter said “I am scared”. He took me to the chef, but she didn’t understood either. I ended up leaving and went to eat somewhere else, unfortunately 🤷🏼♀ Language is definitely a barrier, but here they are completely lost on allergies in general
