I looked over the menu before we went and it was one of those “Yikes, I’m going to have to talk to the server and let them come up with something” situations. Nothing but pasta and bread. The server wasn’t great with English. I speak a lot of Spanish but not enough to explain my wheat problem, and it was loud in there. He got the idea and asked the kitchen what I could have.

By the way, they were massively understaffed and this guy seemed to be the only server. This restaurant isn’t long for the world. The owner lives in Eastern Europe and not Chicago, the name means Oil and More, and the decor was made up of what seems to be standard “This is upscale food” decor. I’m not trying to be harsh. We all work hard and try our best, but this seemed to me to be a cash grab on marble furnishings.

So our poor overworked server came back to the table and told me that I’m having the chicken Caesar without the croutons. It was fine. Not great and not bad. I had to ask for salt and pepper for a salad.

If you have a choice, this isn’t for you.

The meat and cheese were phenomenal, but the gluten free pasta was underwhelming. Good flavor but the pasta was cooked unevenly. I have celiac and I didn’t get sick the next day, so they seemed safe about cross contamination.
