It gets 2 stars because they are very friendly there and I think the service is nice, but they have terrible gf options. It's all a crappy penne pasta, and they did not cook it properly so it fell apart. I'm not expecting gourmet, but I do expect at the very least, for a $12 plate, it should be at least as good as the tinkyada pasta. I wish they would offer more and a bit higher quality gf noodle.
Staff are trained about gluten free options. GF pasta is very good. They are expanding their GF menu soon!
I was surprised to find they did seem to understand and have options that were gluten free. I talked with the manager who assured me and assisted the waitress in understanding what I could and couldn’t eat. They had a list on the tablet left on the table what food had or didn’t have specific allergens in it. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars for taste is that I’m not a fan of this type of chain, Italian style food. Unrelated to gluten I wouldn’t pick it but my friend celebrated her Birthday there so I was thrilled to have safe options and join the group.
Gluten Free Pasta was good. Sauce was tasty. I got it with the grilled chicken pieces, which tasted slimy, undercooked, and boingy. Really the only meal option for Celiacs. I would go back again for the ambiance, but the price wasn't great, and there are better options out there.
