Our server gave my husband the regular pasta instead of the gluten-free pasta. When we brought it to his attention after he’d already taken some bites he asked if we wanted to swap it out. Needless to say he got so sick he missed a flight out with my family the next day.The managers comped our meal and took down our names for insurance purposes but having my husband not be on vacation with us due to an error like that left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Wife had issues here because they boil gluten free noodles in a pot used to boil glutinous noodles. Bad plan to go here.
I was surprised to find they did seem to understand and have options that were gluten free. I talked with the manager who assured me and assisted the waitress in understanding what I could and couldn’t eat. They had a list on the tablet left on the table what food had or didn’t have specific allergens in it. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars for taste is that I’m not a fan of this type of chain, Italian style food. Unrelated to gluten I wouldn’t pick it but my friend celebrated her Birthday there so I was thrilled to have safe options and join the group.
Gluten Free Pasta was good. Sauce was tasty. I got it with the grilled chicken pieces, which tasted slimy, undercooked, and boingy. Really the only meal option for Celiacs. I would go back again for the ambiance, but the price wasn't great, and there are better options out there.
