I went to Olive Garden and was very pleased with the 7 options (plus 3 options for kids) on the gluten sensitive menu. They told me the precautions they were taking and even gave me my own salad bowl without croutons so there would be no cross contamination. I would definitely go back.
Olive Garden has a separate gluten free menu. The two times I have been there the waitress staff was very understanding. They brought a separate bowl of salad that had no croutons. Had the salmon both times off of the gluten free menu that was very good. I highly recommend it.
Haven't been to an Olive Garden in a while (probably 2010 or earlier), but the GF selection was just microwaved dinners.
I was surprised to find they did seem to understand and have options that were gluten free. I talked with the manager who assured me and assisted the waitress in understanding what I could and couldn’t eat. They had a list on the tablet left on the table what food had or didn’t have specific allergens in it. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars for taste is that I’m not a fan of this type of chain, Italian style food. Unrelated to gluten I wouldn’t pick it but my friend celebrated her Birthday there so I was thrilled to have safe options and join the group.
Gluten Free Pasta was good. Sauce was tasty. I got it with the grilled chicken pieces, which tasted slimy, undercooked, and boingy. Really the only meal option for Celiacs. I would go back again for the ambiance, but the price wasn't great, and there are better options out there.
