This was a great experience for me as a newly discovered gluten sensitive person. The server was incredible and went over the menu with me to show me what I could order. I settled on the salmon and got a salad for the table for my husband and I. She brought it out without croutons and even took a picture of the ingredients for the salad dressing to confirm it was gluten free. She went above and beyond with her explanations despite having a huge table of people she was also taking care of. She even checked the ingredients on the chocolate mints before bringing them out. I did not get sick at all but ate wayyy too much! Made sure to stop the manager on my way out and praise my server for her incredible efforts during a busy lunch rush. Highly recommend!!
I mention I have celiac and they let the chef know and brought me their gluten-free menu. Menu is very limited but definitely better than nothing. They said they have a separate cooking area for gluten-free. The chef also is required to bring out the food to you. Just got diagnosed atypical celiac so I don't think I react to cross-contamination so can't say for sure. But I felt fine after.
I was surprised to find they did seem to understand and have options that were gluten free. I talked with the manager who assured me and assisted the waitress in understanding what I could and couldn’t eat. They had a list on the tablet left on the table what food had or didn’t have specific allergens in it. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars for taste is that I’m not a fan of this type of chain, Italian style food. Unrelated to gluten I wouldn’t pick it but my friend celebrated her Birthday there so I was thrilled to have safe options and join the group.
Gluten Free Pasta was good. Sauce was tasty. I got it with the grilled chicken pieces, which tasted slimy, undercooked, and boingy. Really the only meal option for Celiacs. I would go back again for the ambiance, but the price wasn't great, and there are better options out there.
