It was late Friday afternoon. Have decided I wanted something different. Olivia’s showed up and I was like OK. They had a separate gluten-free menu on their website. Great choices. I did it take out. I went into the restaurant. The bag was marked gf and the container that had my gluten-free food marked GF on each one of them. The food was out of this world.
Excellent menu choices. My server was well educated about celiac. Have eaten here several times, no problems. Updated on 4/30/24: ate here again and the server said the gluten-free pizza is cooked in its own oven. I had never ordered the gluten-free pizza before because I figured there would be cross-contamination in the oven. I ordered it last night and it was terrific! And I didn’t get sick!
the pizza and pasta and some other things are gluten-free. they have a lot of gluten-free options, which is really good! there’s no cc either, just make sure you tell them about your allergy first, and about cc (if you have celiac, wheat allergy, etc). the staff is super knowledgeable and helpful, and i would definitely go back!
They have a gluten free menu and their food has been safe for two celiacs. They also did a good job accommodating my mom who has to follow the fodmap diet. Unfortunately I have a dairy allergy in addition to being celiac. They made an awful pizza for me (dry and mostly leeks), despite me trying to get recommendations before ordering. I don’t know if I have bad luck or what happened. They do have a different oven for pizzas. And they seem to understand cross contamination. So it’s a great option if you don’t have a dairy allergy
We all had a delicious meal (celiac & non- celiac alike). Extensive GF menu, dedicated fryer & amazing Truffle Fries! Ask for aioli to go with them. Flavor profiles were well crafted. Highlights were the fries, Baby Kale Salad (with apples, nuts, & taleggio), and Braised Pork with risotto & spicy green beans. I recommend reservations because it’s pretty popular.
Food is absolutely delicious, and precautions are taken very seriously. Gf specific fryer (truffle fries are my favorite menu item) and fresh gf pasta that my non gf guests envied. Pizza crust is one of the better crusts I’ve had. Coming here always meets my need for a hearty, trustworthy Italian meal.
GF fries! Crispy outside, tender inside, with skin on! Large GF menu. My wheat-eating husband likes their non-GF menu. On both occasions when we’ve eaten there staff were friendly and attentive. Their understanding of the GF menu was good. I haven’t gotten sick. We’ve eaten outside at tables on the sidewalk. The street is busy but it felt almost European.
Wow. I ate here two nights ago. It was *delicious*. I feel confident that it is a safe environment because I haven’t gotten sick at all (even forgot to take an enzyme for the meal) and the staff’s knowledge. I ate a *delicious* pizza - so delicious! - and some amazing truffle Parmesan fries that were made in a dedicated gluten free fryer. We split chocolate flourless cake with raspberry confit for dessert. The menu offers many gluten free choices across the board - easy to have a gluten free cocktail/app/salad/entree/side/dessert meal with more than a few options per category. The vibe and staff were excellent as well. My gluten eating husband loved the place. We’ll be going back!
Update to my review: Olivia’s is now my favorite restaurant and my gluten-eating husband’s as well. We have introduced many people to it. I’ve never gotten sick, only had wonderful experiences here. And off I go to order Olivia’s once again…
Have eaten here multiple times and always felt safe, but tonight there was a gluten noodle mixed in with my gluten free pasta. Our waiter honestly didn’t even seem to care and I had to explain to the manager how sick I’ll likely be for them to comp anything. SO disappointed as this was one of my safe spots. Clearly do not keep things as separate as they pretend to.
Felt really comfortable last night. All my food was delivered with a pronouncement “and this is gluten free”. GF menu. Had a wonderful confluence of flavors in a grilled calamari salad. Had Cacio e Pepe pasta for my dinner, which was wonderful. The Gemelli GF pasta was steps up from the ubiquitous Barilla GF penne. All in all a great experience
Such a delicious menu! Their pasta is amazing, it’s not a penne noodle and has a great texture. I would eat it every day if I could! Their pizza was also delicious and their truffle fries are our favorite. They have gluten free cider as well. Great service and easy parking near the location, too!
Delicious food!! As someone with celiac disease I feel safe eating food from here. They told me that they have a separate fryer and use separate pots and pans (it seems like they have a good understanding of cross contamination). They also have a separate gluten free menu with lots of options which makes ordering very easy.
Excellent gluten free food and an extensive gluten free menu. Their pizzas are delicious, and I love their truffle fries. When ordering online, they have separate menus for gluten free sides and regular sides, so definitely make sure you’re ordering from the correct menu. I eat here quite often and have never gotten sick.
