The waiter voluntarily told me that the fries don’t have a dedicated fryer when I ordered the GF burger. The ribs and burger were both good.

I had the scrambled egg breakfast and instead of toast, you can have corn tortillas

I didn't get to try the food because my plate of food came out with a flour tortilla on it. They offered to remake the plate, but once I see I can't trust a place I won't take the risk of getting sick.

Had lunch here one day, then breakfast the next two. Gf items clearly marked on lunch/dinner menu. Had omelette for breakfast and just requested fresh eggs instead of a mix be used. Potatoes for breakfast are not gluten free, but the waiter knew before I even asked. Excellent service and delicious food.

Kitchen did not take gf request seriously. Sent out a regular bun, when sent back, re-used same takeout box to put gf bun in. Front of house staff nice, but food unsafe for celiacs.

Good food and lots of gluten free options! But a very busy restaurant and hasty service, which is why we got our starter and main course at the same time. No solution was offered when we complained about it. Disappointing experience which is a shame because the food was really good.

We stopped here after a day at Zion National Park. My daughter has Celiac’s disease. They did not have anything on the kids menu that was gluten free, but we ordered her a burger with a gluten free bun off of the adult menu. Neither their fries nor their sweet potato fries are safe for those the Celiac’s. Our waitress gave us an option of a side salad or several different vegetables. She chose corn and they grilled it. She said everything was delicious and she did not have any issues afterwards. Would recommend to those with Celiac’s

Great garlic burger and bun!!! No fries or beer. But very willing to accommodate with substitutions
Very knowledgeable about what was and wasn't gluten free. Sadly, the one fryer was down so fries weren't an option, but the burger was great and they subbed the fries for a side salad that was excellent.

We had great meals here, even came back a second time during our trip. Really great burgers with GF buns. Only thing to double check with your server about is dedicated fryers. There was some confusion on the first night about the fries that we didn’t know about until the next day when we came in for dinner again (Regular fries are not celiac safe and usually the sweet potato fries are in a dedicated GF fryer). Turned out that a fryer had broken a few days prior so everything was in the same. Our server from the previous night came over to apologize and was very sincere. I still felt confident eating there that second night (without ordering fries). Overall it was still a good experience for GF and non-GF family and everyone loved the service and menu options!

Great experience. As others have said, chips are safe (dedicated off-site fryer) but items fried in-house are not safe. I had the enchiladas. Too much food, but super tasty. No ill effects afterwards.

Food was delicious (with extremely generous portions) and service was excellent. They are really careful about allergies and cross contact and I had no issues with a salad (they subbed GF toast for crutons) and burger (excellent gluten free bun, celiac safe side options are the house salad or rice/beans). Highly recommend this restaurant if you are going to Zion!

I had the turkey avocado with bacon sandwich with sweet potato fries. (Awesome). The reviews about the portion sizes here are true. I couldn’t eat the full sandwich or the entire serving of sweet potato fries. The wait staff were very careful to assure me that this place knows how to cook for celiacs. Everything was sooo good!

Great experience! Wonderful knowledgeable and attentive waitress. The sandwich on GF bun was fabulous and huge! I can do shared fryer and the sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever had. FYI, the Reg fries are breaded, so those aren’t an option. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Food was great ! The portions are very big. The staff is very knowledgeable: I wanted to take a dish and the waitress suggested another one when I told her that I am coeliac. I took the enchiladas and mucho nachos the next day. It was very good and I was not sick. They also offered gluten free buns but be careful, the French fries are not gluten free.

Knowledgeable waiter saved the day. We assumed the tamales were safe, but once I said we had gluten “allergies”, he told us they are fried in a contaminated fryer. But, we offered to have them baked instead and to have the kitchen use GF verde sauce. The tamales and the nachos were both great and huge portions. But it just proves tiu have to ask about cross contamination even when an item is listed as GF.

Went here twice and I’d go again! The food was really good and so was the service. There’s many items on the menu labeled as gluten free. First time I went I got the pork enchiladas, which also comes with a side salad. The second time I went, I got the fish tacos, also comes with a side salad. I told the waiters each time I had a gluten allergy and had no issues. Both meals were very large portions and I never got sick. And both meals were really good! Highly recommend this place!

After morning hike, I was hungry for breakfast and read reviews about Oscar’s. The waitress was knowledgeable about celiac and honestly said that there is always a chance for cross contamination, but they do their best, and she suggested some menu options and also said what I could not have. I appreciated her candor. I ordered an omelette (with bacon and cheese) and since I could not have the potatoes they gave me a large bowl of fresh fruit. The waitress said the gf toast is toasted separately, but I declined the carbs. She said the omelettes are done in a separate skillet and their protocols are to change gloves etc. The food was delicious - really good - I’m so glad we went there! I had zero negative effects, so I know they were careful. Oscar’s is small, casual and has outdoor seating with beautiful view of the mountains. I’d go back!!!

My daughter got sick from eating here. Not sure what went wrong, but she was definitely glutened and was throwing up within a couple hours of eating here. I had called prior to deciding to go here and asked about their protocols and they seemed very careful about food prep to avoid cross contamination, the menu was labeled etc. They even said the owner’s wife has celiac so I felt pretty comfortable. Upon arriving for lunch the server seemed knowledgeable which was also reassuring, My daughter ordered the turkey burger and a side salad because the fries are in a shared fryer. So all seemed ok until she was getting sick. I called the restaurant and the manager was very apologetic and couldn’t figure out what went wrong based on what was ordered but was concerned and said she’d try to figure out what might have happened. Just wanted to warn others that despite our best efforts in finding safe places to eat, unfortunately things go wrong.

I ended up eating here twice because the food was so good and I didn’t feel sick after the first night. The staff is very knowledgeable but I did get conflicting answers on whether the fries were safe. I ended up avoiding them and stuck with the side salad instead which was still delicious. The first night I tried the garlic burger in a GF bun, and the second night a chicken and Swiss sandwich. I definitely recommend getting a burger though, it was so delicious! Great atmosphere and worth checking out if you’re spending time in Zion.

Went for dinner one night and breakfast the next morning. I didn’t get sick. Great experiences both times, and I liked the food. So did my sister (also celiac). They had a heated outdoor patio that allowed us to bring our two little dogs.
The only disappointment is that we heard the French toast was gluten free but at breakfast our server explained that the bread they use is gluten free but that it would be contaminated in the cooking process - too bad but I’m pleased the server knew those important details. She knew with immediate detail what our other options were. (Oddly, the dinner menu marks what can be made gluten free but the breakfast menu doesn’t.)

Waitress said both types of fries are GF, but an earlier review said the regular type isn’t? Not sure. I got a GF burger and wasn’t impressed… it tasted off, the patty was almost black, and the bun crumbled. The fries weren’t good either. Liked this place years ago but disappointed now. Bummer.

Nice people and service but I’m sorry the food wasn’t that good at all. Having sweet potato fries was a highlight because I haven’t been able to have those in years. Also got the shrimp tacos and chips/salsa. Maybe I’m spoiled with the food in my area but I found all of these dishes to be average to poor in quality. In hindsight ordering shrimp in the middle of Utah was foolish.

Probably the best place I ate at in the three days I was hiking at Zion! Staff was super knowledgeable about celiac disease and just immediately starting listing off the cross contamination protocols that they take. I had a delicious burger with a gf tapioca bun (the best gf bun I have ever had) and sweet potato fries (the regular fries are done in a shared fryer so best to stay away if you’re celiac). So so good, highly recommended and cannot wait to go back the next time I’m in town!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. We went for dinner for both our nights in Zion and it was fantastic both times! The first night I had the BBQ burger, and the second night I had the pulled pork sandwich, both with sweet potato fries and everything was fantastic! My friends who are not celiac also tried two different things from the huge menu both times we went, and they loved them! The portion sizes were insanely large and it was all so filling. The service was also great, everything came out quickly and both the waiters we had each night were so nice and friendly! If you’re in Zion you should absolutely visit this restaurant!

the sandwich itself that i got was fine but after i had eaten my meal the waitress said only the sweet potato fries were gluten free - not the regular fries. and there had been a regular fry mixed in with my sweet potato fries. she sad they have separate fryers for the two but i don’t believe that because some level of cross contamination was achieved. i had a really bad reaction to the food and i don’t recommend it at all.
