We had an amazing time eating here! Not only was the staff friendly and knowledgeable, but the food was absolutely delicious! It’s so nice to eat at a place when GF is the baseline, not the exception. We felt very safe eating here.

Excellent options for this gluten-free restaurant. I have Celiac, so this was a real treat for me. I had the fried chicken sandwich, and I loved it so much that I got it the very next day. I wish there were more restaurants like this!! This restaurant is mainly gluten free, but you have the option to order “normal” bread for your sandwich. The default is gluten free, so the entire staff are very knowledgeable and experienced with preparing food without cross contamination. I would definitely recommend this place!

Very good food! Everything has a gluten free option which is amazing. I have no reaction :) They are very responsible when it comes to Covid, and they're very sweet as well!

This place is AMAZING safe for celiac and just gluten allergy. This is the first place that I did not get sick. The staff is AMAZING also. The 420 chicken sandwich is delicious!! Everything is homemade and huge portions!! I highly recommend!

Everything is made gluten free from scratch, and you can request gluten containing buns for non-GF people. A little expensive, but I got almost 3 meals out of the $13 chicken and waffle meal. Their homemade cookies were delicious; all of their food I tasted was really good. I will be back for sure! Not sure if celiac friendly.

Staff very knowledgeable. Everything gf except option of reg hamb bun. Excellent food. Great service. Owner is celiac. We’re eaten here several times and my husband who has severe gluten allergy has never gotten sick. It’s our togo place in Anchorage.

My favorite Anchorage restaurant! EVERYTHING on the menu is gluten free! Very friendly staff! My favorite menu items are the chicken Parmesan sandwich and sweet potato fries, but everything I’ve tried has been delightful. They even have gf desserts! 😋

Love this place! Literally the only restaurant I’ve been able to take my 3 yo celiac daughter without feeling anxious and triple checking the food and prep methods. The piece of mind is priceless! Plus the food is good- today we had fried chicken and waffles with cardamom butter and maple syrup. Cant wait to go back!

Yum, yum, yum!! Always our go-to when in Anchorage, and did not disappoint this weekend again! Best chicken strips (gf or not) we have had, and fish and chips were phenomenal, too! Everything is fresh and cooked to order. We have loved everything we have had there!! Highly recommend!!

The food was very good! Everything is gluten free other than some bun and bread options which are kept in a dedicated area away from all of the other foods. I am very, very pleased and will be returning!

As a parishioner of the gluten free lifestyle, due to Celiac, I am constantly searching for good safe food. From their cleverly named establishment to their unique menu offerings, Out Of The Box supplies its patrons with flavorful dishes that awaken the senses. They put together food items that might seem strange, but when you combine them they are heavenly to your tastebuds. I highly recommend the blackened halibut fish tacos and the fried chicken sandwich (not too spicy) with sweet potato fries, but my favorite is the very popular waffle with fried chicken!

Not to be outdone by the savory specials, they also have a variety of desserts that can change daily. If you catch a day with lemon cupcakes, be sure to place your order immediately as they fly right out the door. Whether gluten free or not, you won’t want to miss this gem! I have been to this establishment 3 times since arriving in Anchorage, and I can say with 100% certainty that, Out of the box is hands down the best gluten free restaurant that I have ever visited. The food is next level delicious, and the owners are buzzing with love. If you're like me, have celiac disease, and do not eat here, you are doing yourself a true injustice!! Fact!!

Incredible food, I have yet to have anything I didn't like. Everything is gluten free unless you specify you would like a gluten bun or bread. One of the owners has celiac so there is a lot of awareness and care put into it being celiac friendly. Their baked good are all gluten free and to die for. My friends who don't have gluten sensitivities say it's the best cupcakes, cheesecakes, cakes, and cookies they have every had.. gluten free or not!

So excited to eat here, after all the great reviews. I'm also dairy free and egg sensitive. The owner/manager quickly let me know how they could adjust things for me. FYI, the fried fish is bathed in an egg wash before dipping in gf bread crumbs, so don't get your heart set on fried fish if you can't do eggs. But I was told this when I was ordering. Definitely come here while in Anchorage!

Everything is gluten free, everything. All the stuff we cannot have like fish and chips and French fries. Dedicated kitchen and VERY educated staff. I cannot have dairy and there were options here as well even desserts. Rumored best spicy chicken sandwich in town. What makes it better is the staff. Very down to earth welcoming people. Great experience.

The chicken and waffles here are the absolute best! But honestly, everything on the menu is delicious. I would recommend to anyone, following a gluten free diet or not.

Awesome! Love the menu! Not the same boring menu items offered everywhere else just gf, but combo of traditional offerings with some interesting more unique items. Loved the chicken parmesan sandwich. OMG. The bun was amazing!

Great restaurant. We had delicious buffalo burgers with regular and sweet potato fries (with an amazing dipping sauce). It was the best GF burger bun I’ve ever had. Everything in the restaurant is GF except the small dedicated area for gluten bread. The menu is way bigger than what you find online. There are so many things I want to try! Lovely couple owns and runs it. She has celiac and I think he is the main chef. Nice, relaxed atmosphere.

Amazing! My 6 year old was recently diagnosed with celiacs and this place was perfect for her! The owner said she could have anything on the menu without concern (they have a separate area for “regular” buns if ordered). My daughter had the grilled cheese with a double helping of cheese, the rest of the family tried the burger, rock fish sandwiches, and both types of fries. All were delicious. We bought dessert to take with us for later. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone, regardless of whether they follow a gluten free diet or not. The food is amazing!

I had the chicken strips with sweet potato fries, and my dining partner had the fried rockfish sandwich - both were absolutely incredible! Not only is everything gluten free (unless you ask for a regular bun for your sandwich) but the food and the service are out of this world. For dessert, we had a pineapple upside-down mini cake with salted butterscotch ice cream, and I would eat here every day if I could! I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. It's so nice to be able to eat anything on the menu without worries.
