I’m from out of state and our Outback closed so I’m always excited when I find one! I was diagnosed with celiac in 2002 - back then no one knew what gluten was and Outback was one of the first restaurants to offer a gluten free menu
Stopped in for lunch, their gf menu is pretty much updated/current (2023)
Server was knowledgeable about celiac and gluten free told me the chef will cook my chicken on foil on the grill
Had salad w ranch dressing, chicken on the Barbie , and loaded baked potato
I usually get the Chocolate Thunder from Down Under (gf brownie with gf ice cream) it’s sooooo good but it’s shareable size and I was alone…. I could eat it by myself but saving the calories so if you do go here save room for it so you can order!

The server seemed somewhat knowledgeable and offered us a GF menu when we started explaining. There was one GF dessert. We were interested in the steaks which are grilled and the sides that included various baked potatoes and steamed vegetables. A good wholesome dinner.

Excellent experience. I mentioned having celiac and the waitress immediately knew everything I would need. I was able to have the Alice springs chicken, mashed potatoes, and... the chocolate thunder from down under. It felt like the old days before a diagnosis- finally felt free to eat. Be sure to check out outbacks website for their specific GF menu. Makes it a lot easier to order.

I was on a trip to Splash Lagoon with family and was very hesitant to eat here as I get sick at one closest to where I live. I ate here with no issues! I got the wedge salad and loaded baked potato. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful!

This place was awful from our walk in to our overall experience! First thing when we got there the hostess told us that they only had one table available by the bar, but when I looked around only a few tables were occupied and mostly by the bar. She went on to instruct us that all the other tables were dirty!! My husband did not want to create a scene so we sat down and decided to order simple and had burgers mine with no bun. I did not get sick from the food or at least not yet but I will never return to this restaurant!! Very sad that the manager didn’t even try or get someone to clean off all those tables including wait staff!

I have always enjoyed Outback Steakhouse and when I was first diagnosed 20 years ago, Outback was one of the first restaurants that I knew of, to offer a gluten-free menu. AND, they offer a gluten free dessert. But my latest visit was disappointing. Not from a celiac standpoint, but from a overall taste experience. The steak was way over-seasoned and was very fatty.

So happy to find a safe GF place to eat near 95 during our trip from NY to SC. They had a GF menu and were very careful to note down our orders correctly. They even have a GF brownie for dessert but we did not have any.
