Good food, decent selection (except the GF menu is not organized the same as the standard menu so it is not easy to cross reference). I love the steak, prime rib, shrimp, salad, and dessert! Lots of GF stuff. Only negative was that they often put the little cup of Au Jus (that is NOT) GF on my plate and it sloshes all over on the way to the table even when I ask not to be served it. I'll make a bigger deal next time and I'm sure they'll get it right because they do seem to care.
Server nice. Wait is ridiculous stupid. Kitchen is clueless! Had to send back plate twice.
I have never experienced anything so disastrous in all my life as the Outback Steakhouse at 8601 W. Cross Drive, Littleton, CO 80123. My wife ordered a 6oz Steak with salad, whilst I ordered an 11oz steak with mashed potatoes and mixed veg. To begin with, my wife was served her salad minus the steak, my meal wasn't served me, (minus the mashed potatoes) until after my wife had eaten her salad, I was told that the last batch of mashed potatoes went rather quickly and they were still waiting on the next batch. In the meantime we were offered a plate of fries between us and it wasn't until after we had eaten these that the mashed potatoes arrived. So not only did my wife and I NOT enjoy eating our meals together, our meals were served in stages. Despite all this inconvenience, and the manageress having to come to our table to explain the reason for the poor service, we were not offered any form of compensation as a token of goodwill. We left disgusted, with a promise never to return..
They were SO friendly and really took the time to understand my needs. Luckily, they are all trained (at least they should be) about the gluten-free menu and what has to be modified to fit the needs of a Celiac or a gluten-sensitive person. There are so many options, it's great to eat here, and easy since they are in most places. http://celiacandthebeast.com/2012/10/review-outback-steakhouse-littleton-co/
Great job. Love there dessert option!
Food was good but there was a crouton in the bottom of the salad bowl!! Guess waiter just picked them out! Not happy!!
Ate here twice, no reactions. The sirloin was the best steak I've ever had at an Outback. It was cooked perfectly, but a bit too spicy for me. Potatoes were a bit salty, but I am not a big salt user, so they might be fine for most people. Had Alice Springs chicken the other time. Slightly overdone.
Nothing says, "happy 40th birthday" like being the victim of cross contamination! 😭 We researched online prior to going out to eat at a restaurant in Shenandoah tonight. Outback Steakhouse's website claims that it "is serious about gluten-free" so we decided to give it a go. I was pleased to see so many items on their gluten free menu. My husband and I split a gluten free Caesar salad as an appetizer since there were no other GF appetizers on the menu. I ordered the Alice Springs Chicken and a fully loaded baked potato. I was very clear with the waiter that I needed him to let the kitchen know that I have celiac disease and definitely needed a gluten free meal. He assured me that he would and that Outback was serious about gluten free. Along with dinner, I ordered a house margarita that I only took a few sips of because the flavor wasn't as good as my favorite one elsewhere but I didn't complain. Instead, I ordered an Angry Orchard to go with my meal. I only drank half of it because it tasted like beer. I also only ate half of my meal because I started feeling nauseous and bloated before I could finish it. We promptly paid and left the restaurant. An hour later, I look like I'm 6-7 months pregnant and am absolutely miserable! I contacted the restaurant and spoke to a manager named Kelly. She apologized profusely stating that her roommate also had celiac disease, could sympathize, and offered to comp my meal. I told her that I appreciated the gesture, but wanted her to know that I felt obligated to let others in the GF Foodies Facebook group and on the Find Me Gluten Free app know about my negative experience tonight. As promised, here's my review of the Outback Steakhouse on the feeder of I45 in Shenandoah; buyer beware!
We ate there today and food and staff were both a 5! Incredible!!
I've never had a gluten issue here, but they always overcook my steak. Don't order lobster at this location either, it's usually rubbery. The Alice Springs Chicken is always good though! Just wish they had a dedicated fryer for French fries.
My 11 year old daughter loves to get a salad and baked potato here. She is over the moon for the chocolate thunder from down under. You can barely get her to share a bite. It's so nice to have a Celiac safe place to go out to eat as a family.
Outback in Norwood is great at ensuring the staff is educated on gluten. I have eaten there at least 100 times over the last few years. I can't say all Outbacks are good like Norwood because there not. Food is good, selection is good, price is good, I feel safe eating there.
I am able to eat at any Outback in the country and not get sick, but I cannot say that is true with the Annapolis Outback. Ordered steak, sweet potato and broccoli. Our server didn't seem to care about my gluten issues, and made himself very scarce. Aside from gluten issues, my steak was over cooked and awful. I was sick as a dog before we made it home, horrible cramps and then you know.. usual celiac problems. I think it was the sweet potato or a topping they put on the sweet potato. Will never return to this Outback again.
Had steak and shrimp with a salad and.. dessert.. never do I have dessert.. absolutely fantastic.. owner came over and talked to us about the steps he has taken to be celiac friendly.. it was nice to be comfortable ordering dinner.. they have a gluten free menu , you will need a regular menu for the prices but well worth it..
Came here as a family with our daughter with Celiac. We always order her meal first. We've been to Outback many times and this was the first time the waitress had a blank look on her face when I mentioned Celiac; clearly she had no idea what I was talking about which was disappointing. Don't think we'll be back given that there are other much safer options.
The staff went above and beyond to make my meal safe and WONDERFUL!! Our server, Kelly, helped my with my order so that I got exactly what I wanted and then consulted with the manager who delivered my meal to the table to be sure that it was perfect. They also let me know it was prepared in a separate area of the kitchen to avoid any cross contamination. They were super friendly and helpful and I wish I could take them everywhere with me!!
I've been here twice. They have a separate and expansive gluten free menu which is great! The first time the server was up front about his lack of gluten knowledge and went through all of the ingredients with me so I could tell him what was not okay plus he let the kitchen know. Five stars for that visit. The second time I felt like the server wasn't paying attention to my need for gluten free, and they brought out my salad with croutons which I sent back and was remade, but it made me nervous about the rest of the food. However, I didn't get sick. Three stars for that visit and I won't go on a busy night again.
We stopped in on a Tuesday around 8pm & sat at the bar. The bartender has a friend with celiac and understands the protocol needed. She went back and alerted the kitchen, which was great. They have a gluten free menu that basically lists everything that is gluten free in the regular menu. Had a great steak and loaded baked potato and had no problem. Will definitely be going back.
This chain does a very good job with gluten free. Has separate GF menu which offers several options. This location is smaller, but very nice. Our server did a very good job. Kiddo loved the gluten free Chocolate Thunder Down Under (Gluten free brownie sundae) What's not to love?
While the gluten free menu was impressive our server knew nothing about gluten free. She brought out moldy grapes (literally black and fuzzy) to my children. I brought it to the attention of another waitress as well as her and she responded with, "yeah it was the bottom of the bag". Thank goodness I had cut them or my kids would have eaten them. No manager ever came over to apologize nor did the waitress. As a long time lover of Outback, the quality of the cook on my steak was diner quality at best. My husband who did not order gluten free was very disappointed with his food as well. Very disappointing and will not be returning.
I give the food 5 stars but the staff was uneducated. I wanted the pulled pork but as many of you may know there is wheat in a lot of BQQ sauces so i asked the waiter to be sure before i ordered it. He forgot 3 times. But when he finally asked and told me it was GF i was pleasantly surprised. And it was delicious!
This place was great! I used my NIMA tester and I was impressed. My salad and tangy tomato dressing were GF. My loaded baked potato was also GF. The first steak they made me came back with gluten. However, the manager realized it was the seasoning and sent me home with a new steak that did indeed test GF. Great staff!
