They took great care of my daughter. Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating.
GF menu-staff informed
A nice place to get a steak baked potato and veggie. Updating my review. It’s been almost a year since I ate here and this time it was a busy Friday night. Waitress took my order and assured me it would be clearly labeled in the system and that they take things seriously. My meal was brought out separately (and not last) by the manager. He explained that my meal was served on a long rectangle plate which is not used for regular meals, this differentiated my meal. I felt taken care of and enjoyed my meal. I ordered the sirloin and shrimp with baked potato and broccoli. Other sides available.
Went there last night as their website goes on an on about how careful they are...and I am a celiac so I need them to be careful. Ordered strictly from the GF menu. My GF salad had a crouton on it. I noticed, they didn't. They swapped it out once I pointed it out. Amazingly, I didn't get sick. But I'm definitely hesitant to go back.
As far as GF goes they have been awesome! We’ve been twice this week bc there are few GF friendly restaurants in the area. They have a decent GF menu and the servers are very considerate and knowledgeable. They double-checked my fiancée’s order both times (different servers) and recommended the GF dessert, which held up to their description. It’s pretty good especially for a GF brownie. We will probably go back again before we leave bc we don’t have to worry about her having options. In general, it’s a chain restaurant so the food is decent enough. What really sets them apart is the service. Ours has been great both times, no just with the GF consideration but in general. Both guys were so nice and polite and energetic.
Outback is our tried and true, reasonably priced safe dining option while travelling. My partner is highly sensitive, so even slight cross contamination is an issue. He's had no trouble at this Panama City location after eating here a dozen times. It isn't a dedicated GF restaurant, so you have to take the usual precautions (notify waitstaff, don't touch the table or let your utensils sit on it, etc.) But they do a decent variety of GF food, including the pecan flour brownie in the chocolate thunder dessert. Ask for the gluten free menu at the host stand, but get a regular menu as well, since the GF menu doesn't include prices or some info (like steak cut sizes).
Normally Outback is our go-to, and my highly sensitive partner with Celiac has had no trouble with them in five different states. This location in Dothan is the exception. We started stopping there as part of a 6 hour monthly business trip to Atlanta, and in four visits he was glutened three times. Would rather eat cold lunchmeat from a local grocery store than stop there again.
Gluten free menu has everything from beverages to desserts. Waitress offered it when I asked, also available online. There doesn’t seem to be a possibility for cross contamination. I ordered a Cobb salad, no croutons, with gluten free ranch. Will definitely go back.
Our waitress was NCGF so she was very knowledgeable. The food was great, a bit pricy but wonderful quality. The wait time and shear business of it made it near impossible for her to be attentive. My stomach is hurting a bit already so I am not sure if it is Celiac friendly or not.
