We have eaten here once and the staff was very knowledgeable. Food was delicious and would definitely recommend for Celiacs. It's just a bit pricey and we tend to go for special occasions.
Nice gluten free menu. Staff seemed knowledgeable and food was delicious.
Outback was one of the first places to get gluten free dining correct. I used to enjoy eating at this chain because I knew I could trust my meal was going to be safe. I have never gotten sick at an Outback but within the last few years the quality of the food has gone down hill. The gluten free menu has shrunk in size and the price feels outrageous for a small steak and a pile of mashed potatoes.
Love this place! Can't get enough! Never had a bad meal when we've come here. Steak with garlic butter, sweet potato and broccoli with cheese are my go to meal. Great place the whole family can enjoy.
I have Celiac Disease and eat here frequently. The staff can help make choices and make sure your food is prepared safely. I love the steaks, potatoes and even dessert.
not for celiacs ! my kid been so sick after eating there :-(
We have always been happy with the food from this Outback. My boys both have celiac and have never had a reaction after eating here. Sadly, the fries aren't cooked in a separate fryer, so they aren't safe, but there are several other side options. The thunder down under is delicious and gluten free. It makes my kids so happy to be able to order a regular dessert!
I have several food allergies and she was extremely quick to ask the chef for me, bring a gluten free menu and help in any way possible. Our waitress jumped at the opportunity to double check with the chef for me and came right back with the answer. Her alacrity towards answering the questions I asked made me so confident and comfortable in eating, an experience I truly haven’t had often. Incredibly accommodating waitress and hostess asked what type of seating would be best for a service dog. I cannot wait to return to your establishment. This was the first time in a long time that I have eaten out and not been alerted to a food reaction by my service dog. ALSO!! They have a gluten free brownie and it is delicious!!
Highly recommend eating here! I’m an EXTREMELY sensitive celiac, I get sick with the tiniest trace of cross contamination but am completely fine after eating here yesterday! The staff was very friendly and attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back very soon.
I had a sirloin and ribs. Side salad with ranch dressing and a baked potato with sour cream and butter. Delicious. And it was safe for my belly. Of course, I kept the complimentary bread and butter across the table... near the wife and kids! Very happy. 2/19/19... Another great experience here.... I love this place!!!
Within a half hour of eating I was doubled over in pain and very sick. Ate the Alice springs chicken and ordered it off the gluten free menu. Must have been some sort of cross contamination while cooking the chicken, bacon or mushrooms. Will probably not eat there again because they are not careful even when you order off the gluten free menu.
Outstanding location! We had issues at a different location, but this one has had zero issues with anything. All servers are knowledgeable concerning gluten free options, and they do not hesitate to get a chef or kitchen manager if needed. Highly recommended!
Sorry- I know a lot of people report that Outback is a Celiac safe restaurant, but our recent experience does not reflect that. My two Celiac children and I ate there this past weekend, each of us ordering off the gluten-free menu. I ordered a side salad with my meal, specifying "no croutons". It came out ahead of our meals, looked fine, but I found a crouton while eating it. I sent it back and they brought out another one (this one did not have any croutons). My daughter actually ordered a salad as her meal. When her salad came out, it was covered with croutons. We immediately handed it back to the waiter, who took it back and brought out another one. This one looked okay until my daughter started eating it, then realized there were croutons down in the salad. We then called over a manager, explained the situation and sent it back again. They brought out a third salad for her, which looked okay, but she was too afraid to eat it at that point. The cook staff were clearly just attempting to take off croutons from already-made salads, which is of course NOT a Celiac-safe practice.
They have a gluten free menu and a dessert option I could have. The server wasn't very knowledgeable about it but made sure to ask questions and didn't offer me anything she didn't know I could have. She was able to have the kitchen make me grilled wings for a starter. The food was really good, overall, and the service was great.
