Recent visit from out of state. Was looking forward to this extensive menu touted as great food and Celiac safe. Staff was helpful. Food was tasty BUT bread just falls apart and pizza crust also doesn’t hold up. The real disappointment was getting glutened! I was sick as a dog the next day so something wasn’t right. Will not return. I wanted to love it.

My husband and I had a delicious pizza steak sandwich tonight. My sandwich was gluten free due to me having Celiac Disease. My sandwich was so good! This place has an awesome gf menu. The manager also has Celiac, and totally understands the whole Celiac thing. I felt very confident eating here without thinking I might get sick. Our server, Charlie was very helpful! Travelled special here for gluten free pizza and pasta. Unfortunately was disappointed in the taste/quality. If I were close by I’d try a few more times just in case but otherwise not worth it. So bummed!

I have eaten here several times and have always had a great experience. There is a separate GF menu and my waiters have been knowledgeable about the GF offerings and protocol. The pizza crust wasn’t my favorite, but I loved all the pasta options I tried, especially the GF gnocchi!! They also have a case of GF frozen desserts (like cheesecake, tiramisu, limoncello cake, chocolate cake etc) that they will thaw for you. It’s so nice to have a safe Italian restaurant nearby!!

Had the pizza steak the bread was soft with a nice chewy outside wasn’t dense overly sweet and didn’t fall apart! I felt very safe eating here there were even a bunch of other gf people and we talked about our other favorite gf places! One of the owners is Celiac himself.. talked to him at length about our mutual food issues and CC. I've ordered take out from there a few times and had no problems and the best part- the food is DELISH!! They even have an entire GF dessert freezer to choose something from!! So happy to be able to eat pizza again. They really do a great job. All take out is labeled GF and the pizza comes with it's own slicer. Eating there is even better. The GF menu and food is amazing. Stuffed shells with pink vodka sauce is best I've ever had. Place is clean, staff are very knowledgeable.

This is my go to gluten free restaurant. Owner has celiac in his family so really understands the importance of gluten free. Food is excellent especially the chicken franchese. Have eaten here numerous times and have never gotten sick. I highly recommend!

Took my teenage daughter there today for lunch . She enjoyed the garlic bread with cheese and a small pizza . She really liked both things .Staff were very nice, service was good . The service here is exceptional. The son of the owner had multiple allergies and the owner is Celiac. I had no worries about getting sick. I had pasta and so did my husband. The food was just okay, but we haven’t tried the pizza yet, which we hear is phenomenal, so we will be ordering for takeout in the future.

If you have celiacs this is a great place to go. My daughter who is highly sensitive and usually won’t eat out at restaurants because of cross contamination has eaten here safely. Favorite dishes are gluten free penne and gnocchi with vodka sauce, the gluten free Giulio pizza and chicken scampi over potatoes. They even have gluten free tiramisu and other desserts. With 3 children who have celiacs I was so happy to find Palermos.

Their GF ravioli is amazing and they even modified their fettuccine Alfredo and made it gluten free for me! It was so good!! Go go go!! So many options and SO good. I once spoke to somebody from the kitchen, I think he may have been the owner’s son, and he has celiac himself. They know what they’re doing and they know how to do it well! Been multiple times and never had an issue. Some options are marked gf on the regular menu, but make sure to ask for the separate gf menu because it has a ton more options!

1st time here: Great with celiac disease awareness. Many many gluten free options, not just pizza and pasta. Had the gluten free gnocchi with vodka sauce and loved it! Want to go back already to try more. 2nd time here: got a gluten free 12inch tomato pie and I do think the sauce is amazing, but the crust was very dry. It practically fell apart when I picked it up. We stopped here on our way back home using the app to find a safe place off of the NJ Turnpike. It's less than 10 minutes off of Exit 7. It was SO worth it. The pizza was delicious. The ravioli didn't fall apart and the pasta to cheese ratio was perfect. The staff was attentive and the owner even checked on us. His son has Celiac -- his vested interest is evident in the great food and attention! P.S. The non GF food was also superb according to my husband. ;)
