These people just can't get a simple order right and it starts at the top with the GM. She doesn't seem to care and would rather make excuses than fix the problem. We have been there 5 times and our order has been wrong every time! Pass on this place and hopefully they go out of business so we can get something better there...

They gave me the wrong dressing on my greek salad, greek salad dressing is not sweet. Its already the only thing i can eat at Panera that doesn’t make me ill. I ate it and felt sick later and have no way of knowing if it was the salad dressing or something else i ate and now I’m scared to go back.

Panera uses gluten in almost all their salad dressings and soups. Totally unsafe to eat their foods. Not to mention cross contamination.

They have an allergens list available. If you tell them you have an allergy, the manager makes your food themselves. Still can't guarantee no cross contamination but I got a salad and didn't have any issues.

I’ve eaten here twice. The asian salad gave me a slight stomach ache; the tomato soup made me full on sick. Both were on the GF menu, so I’m assuming that there is significant cross contamination.

One would think that brown rice is GF but if you look closer at ingredients - may contain soy and wheat. It’s a shame that as newly diagnosed with celiac, Panera is no longer an option.

I asked the waitress if turkey chili soup was gluten free, she has confirmed. Unfortunately gluten was found using the Nima gluten sensor.

Panera has some gluten free options such as their salads. Tomato soup is gluten free if you tell them to keep the croutons off. Check their website for latest gluten free options.

I have always ordered a salad and the few staff that I have talked with tried to be helpful.

2019–I can eat the tomato soup with NO croutons just fine. Many times and no reaction! I still get the green goddess salad if I’m starving. I don’t risk any other options. 2016 update- I have eaten the green goddess salad several times this summer with no reaction. Still not many choices for those with celiac or extreme sensitivities. If you risk it, order your meal separate from anyone else in your party. They get confused easily with allergy issues. 2015--Not many choices, but I understand and tend to avoid due to the amount of bread they have. I almost always get the turkey chili and a bag of chips and have had no GI issues after consuming this meal. I have had a few salads that were on the GFree menu but have had issues often and avoid them now.

Panara is a good place for those who like salad and soup. Most of the soups are gf, and the broccoli cheddar soup, that most places out flour in it, has barely any flour at all! The staff is nice, and you can get the salad without the croutons. The only thing I don’t like is they don’t have gf bread. Other than that, I recommend this restaurant to everybody!

While their GF menu is limited, they went out of their way to accommodate me. They voluntarily offered to change gloves and even checked on a menu item they thought had gluten but was listed as GF.

Walked in with some girlfriends after the gym to order a soup knowing it’s one of the very few things Panera can say that is gluten-free. When walking up to the counter I asked the waitress what on the menu was gluten-free… She stared at me blankly and then said “we don’t have anything that’s gluten-free.” I told her on the website there was a designated gluten-free menu and she said “if it’s on the menu then I guess…” I said back to her “it’s either gluten free or not..” I understand that you cannot guarantee due to cross contamination, but it would be nice if you could make it known to your employees how you could accommodate certain allergies. I ended up ordering the turkey chili with no problems, tasty, but the encounter itself left a bad taste in my mouth.

BE CAREFUL! Many Paneras (for example, the one in Russett) can do gluten-free meals. This one has major problems. I have gone here for more than two years, so the following is based on a reasonable amount of experience. First, they have high staff turnover. Every time I visit, there is a completely new batch of people taking orders. Second, they don’t train their people well. Most of the time, when I say the words “gluten-free,” I am met with a blank stare. The ones who do know what it means inevitably ask me if I want bread for my side!Even on good days, the kitchen gets orders wrong more often than right. That’s why I have very low confidence that they know how to avoid cross-contamination. I have had meals here without problems, but I don’t go here very often. If you have a severe allergy, you should stay away.

Ordered our usual Fuji Apple Chicken Salad with a packet of potato chips. Manager came over to confirm order and allergy handling needs. We know it’s a potential risk with all the bread around, and aren’t sure how separate the salad prep area is, but so far, no cc symptoms...

The woman taking my order was rude and annoyed that I asked her what gluten free options there were. She said nothing was gluten free except salads. I took my chances with a salad (went ok) but she was extremely rude and not knowledgeable about gf options.

I have Celiac, and I work for a different location(didn't want my manager to think I was bad-mouthing our restaurant), but I know how Panera trains their staff, and their policy on gluten-free food. Panera is unsafe for Celiacs, which is why they say they have "gluten-conscious" menu items, but not gf. Unfortunately, the veggies for the salads are cut on the same cutting board as all the bread. There is flour in the air that they dust on the bread after it's done baking. The bases for all the soups are processed, and I doubt that they are processed on a dedicated gluten free line. At my location, I ordered an iced coffee and I asked the barista to change her gloves, and she argued with me. Maybe at some locations, the staff are really sweet and will try to accommodate you, but, even if they try, chances are the food is already cross- contaminated. Since I work there, I only trust coffees and teas that I have prepared myself, soda from the machines, and certain canned drinks that are certified gluten free.

Panera is always a bad choice for those with celiac. I ordered a salad gluten free and it came with some sort of croutons on top. When speaking to the manager, she tried to defend the staff, saying that they cannot prevent cross contamination from occurring. First of all, this is not cross contamination, but a blatant disregard for my dietary needs. Second of all, she didn’t even apologize! I would not recommend.

Not a huge selection, but the potato soup is gluten free and very yummy. Corn chowder is also gluten free but I believe it’s seasonal. I had the Greek salad with the potato soup and chips. Delicious teas and lemonades. For dessert try the coconut macaroons or the Triple chocolate with walnut cookie which are both gluten free. Delicious!

We are not welcome here. Manager was extremely rude when I inquired about gluten friendly options. He even denied having salads that were GF even though the national website says they have salads and more. Guess he was warning me about unsafe kitchen conditions so i took his word, left, and will never return. even complained to corporate but got a “pat” response.

We have tried to eat here many times and each time there's some error that makes the food unsafe to eat. They have put rolls on top of gluten-free salads, even though I've made it clear that the entire order is gluten-free. They've forgotten the chips that were substituted for a gluten roll, it's always something.

From Panera site: Avoiding gluten? As long as you don't have celiac disease, a heightened gluten sensitivity or a wheat allergy (in which case you should check with your doctor), we've got some great options on our menu that are made without gluten-containing ingredients, and could be just what you're looking for.**

Absolutely the last time I give these guys a shot at my business. I know I can look it up on line but my connection was slow so I ask the young man taking the order if they had a gluten free menu as I know they have options. He ran to the back and came back and said it's marked on the menu. I looked and it isn't. The manager could not take time to talk to me so that's it for me.

The panera off 135th: I told the cashier I had a severe sensitivity to gluten. Ordered a fruit cup and literally watched the girl go from making a sandwich to picking up my pieces of fruit with same gloves and placed them in my cup container. I don’t like to make a scene and I was naive and thought I could just wash the fruit off with a wet napkin. Nope I got sick and was bed bound for two days. The soup I ordered may have had cross contamination as well. I was having pain 20min after eating the food. I will never go back. 😭
