Panera is always a bad choice for those with celiac. I ordered a salad gluten free and it came with some sort of croutons on top. When speaking to the manager, she tried to defend the staff, saying that they cannot prevent cross contamination from occurring. First of all, this is not cross contamination, but a blatant disregard for my dietary needs. Second of all, she didn’t even apologize! I would not recommend.

We have tried to eat here many times and each time there's some error that makes the food unsafe to eat. They have put rolls on top of gluten-free salads, even though I've made it clear that the entire order is gluten-free. They've forgotten the chips that were substituted for a gluten roll, it's always something.

They do a good job preparing salads gluten free and taking the appropriate precautions
Had the Chicken Mediterranean Bowl they give you a place to mention gluten allergy at the ordering kiosk they prepared with new gloves and package it to go even if you’re dining in was not impressed had grilled chicken white unidentified ingredient had no taste clump of hummus a few olives and way too much cheese not a good choice their gluten free salads are a better bet or their tomato bisque but bring your own gf crackers

We purposely ordered at counter instead of kiosk to be sure our allergies were handled properly. Young man at counter told us a manager must come handle allergy orders, so I thought that was a good sign. I asked to order the Mediterranean bowl and questioned if there was anything that needed to be altered to ensure it would be gluten free. The manager indicated to the cashier for him to remove the feta and yogurt from my order. When I shared that those items are dairy and not gluten, the manager seemed confused and got out the nutritional info book. 2 out of 4 in our family ordered GF food items. When our takeout bag was ready, there was a baguette loose in the bag with unwrapped plastic forks. While we were waiting for our food I heard the same manager tell a customer that she had been working there 3 years. I don’t think allergies are taken seriously at this location.
It’s Panera. It’d be ridiculous for me to expect GF. I was able to get the Fuji salad. Fortunately, I noticed the rogue crouton that made its way in my salad before it was too late. They were very gracious to offer me an apple instead of a baguette—even put it a bag to try to keep me safe. :)
