My first time at Papa Razzi and I wasn't disappointed! I was recommended this restaurant because I have Celiac Disease and needed somewhere that offered Gluten Free. It's a rare occasion I get to enjoy delicious authentic GF Italian, and Papa Razzi did it right! I ordered the fried mozzarella appetizer and I had Chicken Parmesan for my entree. Both delicious. Even the non-gf friends I was with enjoyed the mozzarella. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be back!!

I’ve been here a few times and it’s the best gluten free pizza I’ve had. They have great mozzarella sticks too! Almost all of their menu can be made gluten free and they’ll offer a GF roll, too. Love it!

Best GF pizza I’ve ever eaten. I had no reaction. Staff was knowledgeable and made suggestions including requested accommodations. Unfortunately they’re closing in October to open up under a different name close to Fenway Park. Great atmosphere!

Daughter has celiac and got GF pasta and sauce. Food is very good. Waiter brought regular pasta after assuring we would get GF pasta. Manager corrected it after we asked if it was GF when brought out. That’s why we ask whenever food is brought out.

Separate gluten free menu with many options for appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. Server was very knowledgeable and the food was delicious.

I had the mushroom and goat cheese ravioli. The gf bread was dry as many gf breads can be.

For non-celiacs, I’d say the food is great. I used to go here because the staff is typically knowledgeable at these chains. This one? Not sure if the kitchen didn’t pay attention or the server..? But I was so sick for a full day and will never go back. Got it from their supposed gluten free frier chicken parm. Not gluten free.

While the mozzarella appetizer was delicious, the pizza was so dry it was basically inedible. The dinner roll was awful; don’t waste your time with it. I wish I had ordered a salad instead!! The server talked me into the pizza, saying he loves the GF crust. They still get 3 stars because they were really cautious with and respectful of my allergies

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Manager even came out to say the chef was aware of my son’s celiac disease and nut allergies and was taking extra precautions. The pizza was only so-so but in the mozzarella sticks and chicken Parmigiana were fabulous. I highly recommend this place.

I was so excited about all of the gluten free options and so impressed by my waiters seeming knowledge of gluten allergies but when the food came out the food runner gave me "gluten free chicken sandwiches" which is what my friend i was there with had ordered not gluten free. When he said this I said oh no it's the other way around the chicken parm is the one that is gluten free. He said oh my mistake gave me the chicken parm and then went away from the table. I was slightly concerned but assumed that the food runner would not have knowingly served someone with a severe food allergy something extremely high in gluten. Sorry to say I was extremely sick for the rest of the day and night and am appalled that the food runner or waiter would not have said that they made a mistake.

While I am not celiac I do have several food intolerances including gluten, eggs & diary. Everyone at Papa Razzi in Boston was wonderful & very accommodating from the Asst General Manager Julian to our waiter. The restaurant has a "scratch kitchen" so they can cook to a customer's needs. I'm not overly sensitive to cross contamination so I cannot speak to whether they have separate gf facilities but they will discuss all that with you. They had egg free gf pasta so they made me a version if their spaghetti vongole - pasta, clams, pancetta, white wine... & I asked them to add shrimp as well in an olive oil & garlic sauce. It was fantastic!

They had a GF menu and asked about allergies/restrictions before anyone ordered. I got a warm, GF roll delivered to me with the other appetizers, then a GF margarita pizza. The crust was Against the Grain-esque and the toppings were delicious (especially the sauce). The only thing I wasn't all that into was the cocktail (Rosemary, gin, cranberry- shouldn't have been so bland). I would go back.

I was so excited to try the breaded and fried mozzarella, but the whole meal was just kind of disappointing.

My server was extremely nice and checked on me often, but getting my courses from the kitchen was a sloooow process. They were kind of busy and maybe there was extra time for GF precautions in the kitchen, but if that is the case I feel like that should be stated on the menu and/or by the server.

I started with the Mista salad, which was described as a mix of Boston Bibb, Red and Romaine lettuces. While the serving was generous, it was about 95% Romaine. The GF roll that was served with the salad ranged from room temperature to cold. Strike 1.

The fried mozzarella looked terrific - four slices of breaded and fried cheese surrounding a scoop of marinara. The breading and the marinara tasted good, but the mozzarella itself was extremely bland and the marinara caused the bottom of all four pieces to be soggy. Strike 2.

Main course was Pollo Picatta. The sauce was delicious and the risotto was pretty good, but the chicken was overcooked and dry. Strike 3.

I did not complain about the first two courses because I was hungry and it was taking so long to get the dishes out. I didn't want to wait for a re-do. But after the third course was yet another disappointment, I said something to the server who immediately got the manager.

I didn't say anything about the salad, but I informed him of the soggy mozzarella and the dry chicken. He took the chicken off my bill and promised to speak to the chef about putting the marinara in a cup. The next time I'm in the area I may give them another try.

Loved the mozzarella! Had Chicken Pene. The noodles tasted like boxed gfree from the grocery, but the sauce, chicken, and veggies more than made up for it. Yummy and no side effects can't ask for more than that. Recommend

Our go-to area restaurant for dinner because they handle gluten free and celiac requests very well and the food is delicious! Ask for the GF dinner rolls at the start of the meal and they’ll bring out for you with your own dipping oil! Gf pasta can be subbed into most pasta dishes, gf pizza is made separately and is very good. Usually a manager will bring out my dish to assure that it’s been prepared without cross contamination and for celiac requirements.
