Perhaps I was underwhelmed based upon the other reviews but I wasn’t impressed. Server wasn’t overly knowledgeable but the manager came over to confirm my order. I was hopeful when she said the cook would change gloves and take precaution. I made sure to specify no bread on my plate (all the meals come with a roll) and she said no problem. My meal came out with you guessed it, a roll. I sent it back and I’m 99% sure they just transferred my food to a new plate. My date’s meal was wrong, the flavor was just okay, and a cockroach scurried across our booth during dinner. Upside is the drinks are good.

Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. When I asked about a gluten free menu, the host said that a lot of their items were gluten free and the waitress would be able to let me know more specifics. The waitress was able to specify everything that was gluten free and made sure to relay the information to the kitchen as well as the manager. The fryer is a shared fryer, and she pointed out which foods were fried. The manager came over and assured us that everything was taken care of, which it was. I shared the family feast with my family and they brought out the rolls separately so that no other foods touched them.

Based on prior reviews here, I called the manager over to our table before ordering. Very friendly & knowledgeable. All the bbq meats are GF and many sides. Celiac person in our family had combo of pork ribs, pulled pork, beans & coleslaw. Delicious and successful trip for a sensitive celiac. Nice to have plenty of options. Fried food (French fries) are NOT GF.
Great bbq! No GF menu but they called the manager over. He was knowledgeable and helpful. Good number of options. I felt taken seriously and had a great experience.

We had a great experience with server Gwyn. Her mom is celiac, so understood the risks. The manager was helpful, too! Very happy with the service and food.
Note, no gluten free fryers, but all sides except the Mac & cheese are gluten free ingredients.

Delta Blues is wonderful! While there is no formal gluten-free menu, the options are varied and delicious! You will not be able to order fried items if you have celiac, as they do not have a dedicated fryer.
After ordering, the manager will come speak to you and explain what precautions are being taken (example: he follows the order in the kitchen, ensures cook space is cleaned and gloves changed, etc.). You can also ask to speak to the manager prior. These precautions are in place at all Pappa’s owned restaurants, including Pappa’s Burgers in the Houston Hobby airport.
Their steaks are probably my favorite in the Clear Lake area, and their moist brisket is in my top 2 (Kat’s in Santa Fe is first place, but has fewer precautions they can take due to smaller kitchen size).
The only downside is that you may have to wait a while at night. Check in online to reduce your wait times.
(Please note: I give 4 stars safety to any restaurant that has amazing precautions but is not an entirely gluten free restaurant.)

My son is Celiac and they were amazing. The manager custom made his entree making sure he did not get sick. He was very knowledgeable about gluten and went above and beyond. We went there 2x while on vacation and he never got sick. Manager is Jorge.

We went here for a party where the menu was pre-selected. I asked if the feast at our table was gluten free and the GENERAL MANAGER told me that it was. By the time our table got to the bottom of the feast plate, there was a bun under the pulled pork - clearly not gluten free! I asked if it was a gluten free bun and she said "oh, no thats a regular bun".. luckily i ate the meat that wasn't near the bun and I'm fine, but had I eaten the pulled pork I'd have been sick for days!
Absolutely amazing!!! The staff is aware of cross contamination, the food is delicious. Great place, I can't wait to come back. By the way, it's little pricey, but the portions are very large

Wonderful food and fabulous service! Found this gem while traveling and really wishing we had one close to home.
Manager came over and was super helpful with the menu! He had a roommate with Celiac in the past and was very knowledgeable. Beware that not everything on the gluten free menu is celiac safe! The pork belly appetizer he advised that they flash fry it in a shared fryer. He recommended the deviled eggs instead.

This restaurant had a full extensive menu of gluten free options.

Our server was not trained on gluten (she thought mayo had gluten), but they do have an extensive GF menu, the BBQ pork potato was delicious, and I didn't get sick.

The staff was extremely knowledgeable and took every precaution to ensure my meal was gluten free. The manager came by the table and went over my meal with me. I brought my Nima Sensor and tested the pork belly deviled eggs, beef sausage, potato salad and the ice cream sundae without graham crackers. Everything tested GF! I am very impressed with the level of service and food quality. The brisket was amazing!!
