Both times I've ordered here, the staff has been very knowledgeable about what is safe and what could be cross contaminated. They tell me up front that they will change their gloves instead of me having to ask.

The chef was very knowledgable but the server was not. She told me the chips were safe but they were not! Other than that, the manager and chef came to talk to me to confirm my dietary needs. The food was very good.
Amazed to find a great GF place like this in the airport! Super knowledgable about what I can order (even knew I couldn't have the tortilla chips bc they're fried in common oil). She even went and got the manager to confirm everything was GF and he assumed me it will be prepared on a dedicated area with clean utensils- I think the manager actually prepared it himself! Only one/ two GF options, but that's better than none. And the service was amazing.

Hard to find gluten free meal at Houston airport. This place was good. The girl new what I could and couldn't order. The rice and beans are gluten free and good!! Also they have yummy corn tacos with shredded chicken or beef. Both gluten free :)
Had dinner tonight and brought our grandson who has just been diagnosed with celiac disease. Couldn’t ask for better service or more attention. Three different individuals came by and explained everything. He wanted a crispy taco but because they do not have a designated fryer this was not possible. However, they talked not only to me but to him. He asked for the taco ingredients and told them he would eat them with the baked chips he was brought. When the food came all the ingredients (beef, cheese, lettuce, & tomatoes) were all on separate plates. Before bringing the queso, our server checked to make certain it was gluten-free. Definitely impressed with this restaurant as we begin this journey with our grandson.
very good food! the waiter said that they have a separate preparation space for gluten free food and take extra precaution to avoid cross contamination. they have baked chips as a gluten free option! i recommend the chicken fajitas which come with soft corn tortillas
Waiter was knowledgeable and gave me confidence that they could handle my extreme celiac gluten sensitivity. I had the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. I ordered the enchiladas and baked chips. Really, really good. Big portion! I enjoyed my experience and did not get sick. Thumbs up!!!
Staff was great. Had a gluten free menu with usual disclaimer. Tacos came out with a tag that said prepared gluten free. After eating the tacos, I was very sick. Won’t be eating here again.
at gate c19 was able to have the steak fajitas no seasonings chef came out and spoke to me very good. this is the Mexican cantina
There is a to-go window if you need to pick up something quickly and they are pretty good about fixing it fast. This is my go-to place at DFW. The sky tram makes it easy to get to this terminal fairly fast so I normally go here from all other terminals instead of trying to figure out something closer to my actual gate.
Very good food. A supervisor even came out to double check my order. Even had a pick that said " Prepared Gluten Free" stuck in my chicken. Will definitely be back!
The staff was knowledgeable about their gluten free menu and were able to answer all of my questions. The portion sizes are big. The manager, Michael, came out after our meal and checked on us to see that we enjoyed our meal and were satisfied with the service. He told me that they take gluten free requests very seriously.
when flying restaraunts are often a hit or a miss. all I asked for is that I not be sick after eating. chicken fajitas with corn tortillas fit the bill. tasted great, filled me up, now on to the next airport!

Very limited gluten free menu. Neither the chips nor the fajita meat are gluten free. Gluten free options include tacos and chicken on corn tortillas. Disappointed in the gluten Free Tex-Mex options.
Gluten-Free but Greasy This busy downtown location does have a separate GF menu, special handling in the kitchen and GF meals come marked with a little wooden stake. Know that their regular chips are NOT GF. They have baked chips that you have to ask for and they are different, not very delicious. There is variety on the menu. I had the enchilada meal with beans and rice, all of which were greasy and what I considered fast-food quality.
Good selection of food, dedicated menu, no GF beer though. Staff (even at the bar) was careful and understood.

I have eaten here numerous times and never been sick. They have a gluten free menu and they have baked chips. the food comes with a little gluten free stick most times and if not i just confirm. i have eaten at other locations and been just fine and i am very sensitive.
Very Knowledgeable staff. Sat at the bar, ordered off of the gf menu. Extremely fast service. I will be back when next at DFW.
My daughter and I have Celiac. We split the tacos with rice and beans. Very good and did not get sick.
The staff were very accepting and knowledgeable about gluten. When asked, we told them that my daughter had Celiac and the manager even came over to confirm and to explain how they handle GF. Great food, great GF menu, great staff... but the baked chips are ughhh. 5 stars
They had a gf menu with a lot of options and the waiter seemed knowledgeable. However, they brought out enchiladas with flour tortillas. I confirmed with the different waitress who brought them out that they were gf, and she said she didn't think so. She brought them back and a manager came to talk to us and said our waiter hadn't entered the meal as gluten free. They brought a new dish that was absolutely delicious and didn't have us pay for my meal.
Amazing for an airport terminal. Ordered a beef and chicken taco off the GF menu. Their fire roasted salsa was awesome! Manager came to table to assure me my meal would be GF.
Menu looks alright. Very expensive. Gluten free baked tortilla chips they were awful. They did have gluten free Chili con carne enchiladas. Had the cheese ones and were amazing but here I am with in 20 min in the ladies room during a state semi finals high school football game at NRG stadium. We drove to Houston just for this! Celiac friendly I don't know. They seemed knowledgeable but I'm still sick.
GF chips taste like toasted cardboard and there could be more GF choices on the menu, otherwise the food is good. A bit pricy though, average entree price starts at $12 though the portions are pretty big!
The servers are not knowledgable what so ever. If you have a true allergy, ask for the chef to come out. They have actual GF corn tortillas...however, because the staff has no clue they will serve you the corn ones made there (which contain wheat). Be careful!!
I have celiac but do not show symptoms so cannot speak to that but they have a GF menu & kitchen manager Alonzo came out to discuss the safe prep practice. He made a recommendation for items that do not come in contact with gluten & their process for safely preparing items that do. I felt comfortable after reading recent reviews & speaking to the well informed manager.
4 stars only because there is just one selection. The food was great. The only option is the soft taco platter with corn tortillas, shredded chicken or ground beef. Served with rice and beans. I had the shredded chicken. It was delicious and causes no reaction. The cashier was actually very knowledgeable. She seemed very young, so I was impressed that she knew about the risks of cross contamination and hidden ingredients. It's hard to find truely gluten free food at the airport, but this little counter service restaurant in Terminal E at IAH is wonderful.

Separate GF menu with a pretty good selection of appetizers and entrees. Apparently the chips are not safe but they will bring you baked chips. (Not as great as fried chips, but the tableside guacamole is enough to carry the day.) The manager came out to talk about my meal and they seem to take things pretty seriously.
Seperate GF menu and knowledgeable wait staff. Plate came out with a GF marker so I knew I had the right plate of food. Large Portions and good food. Better than expected for an airport.
This was the best Mexican food I think I've ever had outside of California. I ate an incredible beef brisket soft taco that was very flavorful but also very fresh. That being said, their seafood is what you should go their for. The fish comes in fresh daily and tastes amazing. Everything was amazing. The only catch is that the fajitas are really expensive on any day but Wednesday.
Great food and big portions. Waiter was knowledgeable on the gf menu and offered to do a sampler if desired. Went with 1 beef and 1 chicken taco with rice and beans and was filled up. Great option for airport food.
I was nervous about going here because it seems it would be very easy for cross contamination to occur at a Mexican restaurant. The GF menu was small, as most are, but well rounded. I was worried I may not be able to have any chips but they had baked chips which were very good. I chose to avoid the Mexican rice even though it was considered GF because of the spices which sometimes doesn't sit well with me. The staff was very helpful and seemed knowledgeable. My belly feels great. A very pleasant experience and I can't wait to go again.
Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with celiac. I'm sitting in the restaurant right now. Took my family out to dinner as I'm visiting from Nashville. Their carne asada & chicken is marinated in soy sauce and contaminates the entire grill. Also, they make flour tortillas inside the kitchen so wheat flour is airborne inside their entire kitchen. I opted not to chance getting sick so I did not order anything. My family's meals look and smell great though. It's very frustrating that restaurants are capitalizing by the "gluten free fad". Just because they have a gluten free menu does not mean it's gluten free. Wheat flour in the kitchen? Soy sauce on the grill? No thanks-not worth being on my back for over a week. Go at your own risk. Cheers.
