NOT safe for celiac! My husband spent 15 minutes discussing gluten and celiac with the cashier. When I opened the tacos they looked like flour tortillas. I told my 3 and 4 year old celiac kids to WAIT don’t eat it, but before I could grab it, my daughter took a couple bites. My husband told the manager and he brushed it off and offered to make new ones. My poor daughter was violently throwing up the entire flight!
GF menu is not safe. Shared fryer, soy sauce marinated beef on GF menu. However, the staff was attentive and knowledgeable, with the manager coming out to steer me clear of unsafe items. Eating here currently so we’ll see how it goes!
Even the cheese has gluten. Mexican restaurants are usually a safe haven and this place is a nightmare. Why would you ever add gluten to cheese?! So unnecessary
I requested the gluten free menu which was small but decent selection. I Ordered the Chicken Fajitas and asked that my order be flagged celiac for the kitchen. Food came out looked ok and I double checked with the server to ensure corn tortillas and she assured me they were. THEY WERE NOT I unwrapped them and they were flour and coated in loose flour which got all over my hands and my meal. I told the waiter and he said sorry and exchanged the tortillas for corn but did nothing about the rest of my meal. I rarely give poor reviews about restaurants as I know it's a hard business but now I'm home and I'm sick. I am very unhappy.
I was provided with a gluten free menu on request with a small but tasty choice of menu items. The waiter was familiar with Celiac and there are clearly kitchen protocols in place that work. When my meal was delivered, the server confirmed it was GF without being asked. I had the chicken enchiladas which were surprisingly good for an airport restaurant.
Had the chicken fajitas. Kitchen seemed knowledgeable and had cc protocols though I couldn’t believe how fast it came out for something that required separate preparation. Felt fine afterwards though so they must have followed their cross contamination protocols.
Overly expensive for what you get, but nice to have a GF option.
Solid airport food for someone with Celiac. Cashier was healthful - ensured My order was gluten free. Had soft corn tacos. Actually, she pointed out that the fajita steak was not gluten free and recommended the fajita chicken instead. Airport eating is hard. This place I feel pretty good about.
i went here because of all the good reviews and the separate gluten free menu. BE CAREFUL!!!! the menu says corn tortillas come with the taco platter, but mine came with flour and i didn’t realize it was flour until i was almost done. very upset i got flour when it clearly says corn tortillas.
So happy to have found a safe place to eat in an airport! I am usually stuck eating the snacks I pack while my family gets to eat real food. The staff took my requests very seriously, and the kitchen manager came out to speak to me about their precautions. He knew about this app and said they work very hard to keep their good reviews. The food was delicious and I felt very confident.
I let them know I had allergies, so the manager came out to discuss what they were doing to accommodate my meat, shellfish, and gluten issues, which foods they were substituting like american cheese and refried beans etc.. amazing and kind and super caring!! I never review but these guys were so great
Our waiter ensured the grill would be decontaminated and the kitchen staff would change their gloves. The manager came and spoke to me about their protocols to reduce cross-contamination. They also have a separate gluten free menu.
I used my Nima sensor to test the food (fish tacos) for gluten and it all came back negative!
My celiac daughter ate lunch today with no issues. The server was knowledgeable when i asked if chips were safe to eat. They are NOT. He said they were fried with other items so not safe. The gluten free menu was easy to read and the dish came out of kitchen marked “gluten free”. I wish they did what other restaurants do and fry chips first thing in morning and save for celiacs!
There is a to-go window if you need to pick up something quickly and they are pretty good about fixing it fast. This is my go-to place at DFW. The sky tram makes it easy to get to this terminal fairly fast so I normally go here from all other terminals instead of trying to figure out something closer to my actual gate.
when flying restaraunts are often a hit or a miss. all I asked for is that I not be sick after eating. chicken fajitas with corn tortillas fit the bill.
tasted great, filled me up, now on to the next airport!
I have celiac but do not show symptoms so cannot speak to that but they have a GF menu & kitchen manager Alonzo came out to discuss the safe prep practice. He made a recommendation for items that do not come in contact with gluten & their process for safely preparing items that do. I felt comfortable after reading recent reviews & speaking to the well informed manager.
Great service and the manager came out to assure me everything was done correctly for no cross contamination. It is in the airport so not giving it 5 stars for flavor but 5 stars for awareness. I will update after I have the meal and I am not affected.
staff was very attentive to our gluten concerns. food was delicious.
