Our waitress didn't know about GF so we had a conversation and she went and spoke to the cook and offered advice. I'd eaten at their East Wash location before so felt it would be okay. Then, she served me flour taco shells! I could tell by sight and she apologized and they brought me a new plate. Lost my trust though, won't eat here again.

Food was mediocre and I got sick from the Huevos Rancheros, despite the fact that I was assured it was safe. Half price Margaritas on Tuesdays earned it another star, though.

I didn't feel confident they really understand true GF and the issue of cross contamination. The manager insisted the chips were GF even though they are fried in the same fryers as chicken tenders. As we asked further questions he acted a bit irritated and didn't want to check ingredients for us. We ordered what we felt would be safe. My celiac daughter did not get sick. However, we won't go back.
Very good food, lots of options, but can be VERY loud in the evenings.
Have GF offerings. Ask staff for suggestions.
Hilldale location. Food was ok. They messed up all our orders though, which didn’t reassure me I was safe. I didn’t get sick, however I stuck with a salad and didn’t eat any chips. Probably won’t go back because I felt like I was rolling the dice.
The food is typical Mexican American fare. I would say the Hilldale location is questionable as to whether it is safe for those with diagnosed celiac. I personally do not eat at the Hilldale location anymore as I have been bedridden the last three times I dined there. Most of their waitstaff isn't friendly. They seem overworked and under-tipped. I have heard the E Washington location is better.
I have been to this location multiple times. I’ve never gotten sick. The staff is very knowledgeable about celiac disease
Yes
The fryer is not gluten free. Most things ca be made gluten free - corn tortillas- but disappointing that the chips are cross contaminated.
The atmosphere was nice, laid back, and the staff was friendly. Server was not knowledgeable about gluten free items but was willing to ask. She told us the chili dip was gluten free so we ordered that for an appetizer. Our entrees arrived about 5 minutes later. The dip was cold and served in a small plastic cup. Chips were the kind you could buy in the store, nothing special. I ordered tacos on blue corn shells. Tacos were the best part of the meal. Good flavor and filling. The rice was not that great as it had a burnt look and slight burnt taste to it. We will most likely not return though I encourage you to try it as the place was busy. Our server was very friendly throughout our time in the restaurant.
