Great little Italian restaurant! I loved the family owned small feel! The gluten free pasta was delicious and my server was able to accommodate for my sensitivity with no problems. Sauces can also be made gluten free. I did have a little upset stomach after but considering the pasta tasted gluten free (not in a bad way…but once you’re gf you know the difference!) but I don’t believe it was that. I definitely recommend!

This is a wonderful Italian restaurant. The manager and the servers were knowledgeable about celiac and were able to point out many options. They are careful about cross-contamination and use individual pans for every order and then the pans are washed so we felt safe. We had a pasta dish with gf fusilli pasta. My husband had crustless pizza which is all of the things you find on top of a pizza but with no crust. It is baked so it comes out as a unit and is delicious. we will definitely return when we come back to the city.

This was the best Italian restaurant I have eaten in since becoming gluten free 10 years ago. They were very knowledgeable and only have one type of pasta that is gluten free so no mix up can happen. Food was wonderful!

Our server Deanna was super knowledgeable. Her mom actually created the gluten free menu. I am super severe celiac and had no issues. Highly recommend!

I was extremely cautious when I came to eat here with friends in spite of the great reviews, but this really is a safe place. When our waiter told me that the alfredo sauce was gluten free, I gave him a look and said I don’t believe you (jokingly). He laughed and brought over a manager (maybe owner?) who is celiac herself and she was able to break down the entire menu for me. Their gluten free pasta is the only fusilli in the building - eliminating any confusion over whether a mistake was made in the kitchen or not - and it’s cooked in its own water. All of the sauces are homemade and all are gluten free except for one - an olive oil and butter sauce that has breadcrumbs added to it. The woman I spoke to even further broke down dishes with corn and such in case that was an issue as well. Everyone here was well aware of gluten, was not put off by my presence, and went out of their way to make me feel safe. Food was delicious and I did not get sick. 10/10 recommend.

Had the gluten free pasta with marinara sauce. Waitress said all the gluten free was boiled separately. Pasta was delicious and I had no issues after and I’m pretty sensitive.

They have GF pasta and can alter anything on the menu. All pasta is cooked in its own water and never shared. Their GF pasta is shaped different so they/we can ensure it’s safe. I’m also allergic to dairy and they have several dairy-free options. The waiter was very knowledgeable and is dairy-free and his daughter is gluten-free so he was very helpful!

We had a delightful experience here! Waiter was very knowledgeable. They did give us their CYA of “it’s not a GF kitchen” but I am sensitive and did not get sick. I had the GF scampi pasta and my fiancé had the GF meat sauce pasta. Both were delicious. Highly recommend for this hard to eat in town as a celiac.

We were thrilled to find an Italian restaurant with GF options in town. Most of the dishes can be made with gluten free pasta. The shrimp scampi was good but I would’ve like a bit more shrimp. They were happy to do GF pasta for me. They cook eat person’s entree separately. I did not get sick.

Very casual and bustling place. Very nice people. Our served seems to be good but overwhelmed. Very little understanding of allergies. We asked told her about our gluten allergy, everyone in our party has a intolerance. she said “we have gluten free pasta” and then left. No explanation of what we could order or suggestions. I think she had too many tables or something. 4 mins later she brought us a basket of bread. While willing, I think places need to do a better job of training folks. The pesto pasta dish was just ok. The #6 lemony chicken and pasta dish was exceptional! Overall. A mixed experience.

We were trying to go to another restaurant but the AC wasn’t working and it was too hot. We drove down the street to Pasta Bella and it was the best decision. They have gluten free pasta upon request and all their sauces and meats (except the meatballs) are gluten free. Our waitress was so sweet and made me feel welcome. The pesto sauce is to die for.

After going to a place called Chase's that has gf even on the menu. Waitress didn't know much and the chef wouldn't come talk to me. We got up and went to Pasta Bella. Omg! Immediately the waitress explained everything to me and knew celiac. Told me what foods I couldn't have She said their gf pasta was parboiled in the morn then finished in the homemade sauce when ordered. Y'all it was yummy!! This small town little place knew more than most. I didn't get sick at all. The place was packed and now I see why.

I ordered the gf pasta with pesto and chicken and it was FANTASTIC. I’m usually a little weary of restaurants with small kitchens like this one, but the waitress was very knowledgeable about Celiac and told me the pasta would be boiled in separate water and the chef would use different tongs. There were some other gf options like bread less pizza, but most of the pastas could be made gf.

Everyone else seems to have had a good experience here, but mine was the exact opposite. The pasta was so overcooked and that it was in tiny pieces and inedible without a spoon. The scampi sauce was watery. Overall conclusion was that they didn't drain the pasta which ruined the entire meal.

This town is incredibly difficult to eat in as a Celiac. However, this is one of the best restaurants I have been to since my diagnosis. We visited two nights in a row, because my family enjoyed the food so much. Both of our waiters were gluten free themselves. They have a separate gluten free preparation station. The food was exceptional, and it was gluten free!

The food was amazing! Request gluten free pasta, and all sauces are gluten free. I had the #6, which was pasta, lemony rosemary cream sauce and grilled chicken. It was delicious, and so flavorful! The rest of my family (non-gfree) also enjoyed their meals, so we left happy and I didn't get sick. 😊

Very friendly and welcoming. The owner greeted us at the door. They have gluten free pasta available. There are also two variations of crust-less pizza, which is what I had. I didn’t get sick, but I didn’t feel like our waitress knew much about what was safe and what wasn’t in the way of hidden ingredients. I hope to see gluten free marked on the menu in the future as the atmosphere was great and I hope to go back.

I’m very hesitant to take my daughter with celiac out to eat, we were close to this restaurant and asked about gluten free options, they have only spiral gluten free pasta and they take all precautions needed and have a dedicated space, I was very pleased with the service and my daughter loved the pasta with Alfredo and shrimp, she didn’t feel sick after eating here, we can’t wait to go back.

Lunch in Fredericksburg is busy, but Pasta Bella greated us kindly and go us right in. Our server was more interested in re-stocking supplies than being attentive to her tables.
My GF pasta was under cooked but the dish was still really good. I had the #3 with alfredo and would recommend it to those who are not celiac.
No
Let the waiter know you need to order gluten free. I think the only menu option is the pick your own pasta (only one GF pasta), sauce and topping. But, the sauces are really good. Super busy place and seems to be very popular. Food was great.
Yes
Get the #3 tosses in Alfredo sauce. Just trust me. It was so good. We split a large if that helps you decide on a size. I’m glad we went here. The staff was helpful and the dish was excellent!

No GF menu, but all the pastas can be made GF. All sauces are made in-house and the staff has good knowledge of their preparation. Delicious food, highly recommend!

We love this place! Most of the options can be made gluten free. All sauces are safe. Make sure to talk to your server because they don't have a gluten free menu.
Our waiter Sergio was very helpful answering any questions we had. We ended up ordering their “breadless pizza” and it was awesome. John also enjoyed his same meal. What a great idea for those of us that love pizza but don’t want all the crust.
Yes
Their staff was very knowledgeable and helpful about their gf options. No gf menu but most pasta dishes can be made gf. Gf pasta is made separately from other pastas.
